One of Those Moments! 💖

At our playoff game last week, I was talking to the two Hill Murray student managers before the game. They shared how excited they were to see a female official at their game. As our crew was leaving the game, they ran up and asked if they could get a photo with me.

Their AD was kind enough to share this photo, saying “I saw them approach you and thought it was super cool. Not sure if you knew you were an inspiration to other girls. SUPER COOL!“ 😊

As officials, we certainly hear our share of slack and negative comments during the season, but this moment from these young ladies at the end of our season reminded me about one of the reasons I love officiating and how much JOY it brings to my life! 🏈

I am glad if I can be an inspirstion to others; but for the record, these young ladies were an inspiration to me!💖

Friday Night Lights: 49 degrees, wind and rain…not ideal football weather! Still fun to run around the field with my band of brothers…even layered up like the Michelin tire guys! 🏈
