It’s officially time to plan your Summer 2025! Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is offering a variety of fun activities, including recreation center events, Rec Check, and summer camps! Full day and half day camps are designed to allow youth to connect with their peers, stay active, and engage in their community. (Options are available for youth and teens.) Registration is now open for all summer offerings! We are looking forward to all of our summer visitors and activity participants (and more sunshine!) ☀️🎉

☀️August 26 Heat Related Closures and Notices☀️
Due to today’s heat index of 105° F, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation has made the following adjustments to building hours and programming:
- Duluth & Case, Hayden Heights, Highwood Hills, Merriam Park, and Wilder recreation centers are closed for the remainder of the day.
- All youth sports activities are cancelled.
- See the Fitness in the Parks webpage class cancellation updates (stpaul.gov/fitnessintheparks).
-Any additional heat related changes to programming will be communicated directly to participants.

Our splash pads (stpaul.gov/splashpads), Lake Phalen Beach, and Highland Park Aquatic Center are open. Please remember to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, take breaks, and check in on neighbors.

UPDATES FOR THE 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY 🎇

🎉As you celebrate, please remember that we all have a responsibility to ensure the safety of those around us as we enjoy our public spaces.

🎆All are welcome to use our parks and recreation center properties to celebrate responsibly, but use of fireworks is not permitted. Please be mindful of park areas that are currently impacted by flooding. 🗑️This will be a busy period for our staff. Your help in keeping our parks clean is much appreciated.

🍾With the exception of authorized picnic areas, the consumption of alcohol is prohibited at parks and recreation center properties.

🤾‍♀️All recreation centers will be closed on July 4, with the exception of 4th of July activities taking place at Langford Park Recreation Center.

🇺🇸The annual 4th in the Park parade and celebration will take place at Langford Park on July 4. The parade starts at 11am and activities including pony rides, live music, food trucks and more take place in the park throughout the afternoon. (www.4thinthepark.org)

⚾Catch the fireworks after a St. Paul Saints baseball game at CHS Field on July 3-5. (www.milb.com/st-paul/schedule/2024-07)

🎵Music in the Parks shows take place at 12pm and 3pm on July 4 at Como Lakeside Pavilion's Dock and Paddle restaurant. (dockandpaddle.com/calendar)

🦒Como Park Zoo & Conservatory will be open from 10am-6pm on July 4.

🎾Due to firework damage to several athletic courts in recent years, the following courts will be locked from 6pm-9am from July 3-7: Battle Creek, Conway, Dayton’s Bluff, Eastview, Frogtown, Groveland, Hamline Park, Hayden Heights, Hazel Park, Highwood Hills, Langford, MLK, Palace, Prosperity, Rice, and St. Clair.

This Memorial Day weekend all recreation centers will be closed Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27. Regular recreation center hours and special closures can be found at stpaul.gov/reccenterhours.

Lake Phalen Beach will open on Saturday, May 25 and Highland Park Aquatic Center will open on Sunday, May 26 for pre-season swimming (weather permitting).
