Shoulder rehab + core + gluts
I was really hoping to get back into my regular workout routine, but shoulder says it’s not quite ready.
Instead of continuing to mope about it, I decided to step up my rehab a notch & make it a full body workout. (This series X3, plus some added ab work at the end).
Remember to exhale with work, and inhale stabilizing core & pelvic floor.

Dislocated my shoulder 10 days ago (falling down the stairs after kissing my kiddos goodnight).
Today I so badly wanted to return to my fitness routine, but my body told me it wasn’t quite ready.
So I did some modified light weight lifting, stretching, and core work.
Knowing your body’s limits on a particular day helps rehab for long term gains.
When you don’t have time-
When you don’t feel like exercising-
When you commit to move your body-
When you begin somewhere-
When you keep promises to yourself-
When you get it done 💥
This quick flow through the basic movements is a great warm up and/or stand alone movement series to check that box.

Well, here we are again.
I had a plan to workout this weekend.
It is now 8pm on Sunday.
Not exactly glamorous or my ideal fitness situation.
But I’m fulfilling my promise to MYSELF.
It did require my partner’s cooperation. Because despite me telling the kids that I’m going to workout, they still walk right past Dad laying on the couch to pester me with requests and questions.
Just here to encourage you all to do the thing.
Keep the promise to yourself.
Don’t wait until tomorrow.
You still have time.

Well folx, here we are. Still grinding through this pandemic.
With the weather turning colder & cases on the rise again, you gotta get your fitness in however you can.
This is my winter plan for fitness: rowing machine in the laundry room [get it done wherever you can], and BirthFit flow.
At least 3X/week.
What is your winter fitness plan?

Got a new-to-me rowing machine today.
Thought I would finally have my own quiet space to exercise.
Nope.

My son wanted to make a workout video 😆

Working out doesn’t have to take a lot of time.
Start with a few basic warm up moves to engage the core, then add in something challenging for just one set.
Resume picking up Legos.
Do another short, quick set later in the day.

These little dudes rode their bikes alongside me while I ran 🏃♀️today.
They pushed me to keep running even when I felt like walking.
And bonus cardiovascular training while the littles kept me in conversation. 😰
