Footballers-

2019 is going to be a different year for the TCGFC. We had numerous challenges this past year and it has been made clear that our current structure is no longer a fit for our current membership. Growth has been and will continue to be a top priority but the way we have our club setup may be a hurdle to achieving the growth the club needs.

In 2019 we will be looking at a number of changes that were discussed at the AGM, and that will perhaps in the short term help us bring in new players with a view to setting us up for success in the long term. Those changes include:

-No more weekly practices. We will have 1-2 events a month that will be practice & game events. The idea is to try to bring in more new players who can learn and play on the same day. We also hope that fewer commitment days will mean more attendance.

-We will partner with other clubs for travel dates and have a bigger focus on getting Minnesota Players to Midwest events.

-We will work with other Irish sports clubs in the midwest to position Gaelic Football for success, which might be changes to the club in future years.

2019 will likely be a pivotal year for Gaelic Football in Minnesota that will decide what role we have going forward. I hope to see a lot of engagement and some new faces this coming year!
