THIS NEEDS TO BE SAID - especially if the keyboard warriors are running around calling you "tone deaf" for expressing your opinions online.
You're running a business.
People are buying YOU.
If you want to be the type of leader where your inboxes are flooded with people saying "holy crap I need to work with you, you're my kinda people" then get comfortable getting uncomfortable.
You have to speak your mind. You have to take risks.
Your dream clients need to know what you're about, the opinions you have, the values you have, etc.
And remember what your gramma said: "You can't please everyone, honey"
A couple days ago I expressed my opinion about traveling with kids and how I think a lot of people use a lot of excuses for why their businesses aren't doing well.
"It's the economy"
"It's the kids at home"
"It's I have no time"
"It's my husband's fault"
"It's my audience"
The list goes on.
Listen - I empathize with you if you're going through a hard time in life, but know that you're the only one that can pick yourself up out of it.
And you're not going to get there by launching yourself into a magic deck of excuses that you fling out on a whim like you're playing Uno with a 6 year old.
The reason why a very small percentage of people have success in life and business is: they're willing to do things that are uncomfortable, that push the limits, that break patterns and do the "hard work" - and that other people will call BAT SHÏT CRAZY
Take me for example. I was called "tone deaf" *insert eyeroll here* for expressing my opinion about travel being one huge value I have and showing my kids the big, wide world is supppper important.... and linked it to people who complain about their kids for why their business isn't successful.
I don't buy into those excuses. Just my opinion, my belief that I've spent 1000s of hours in my life working on and developing at new level after new level
Especially since I'm turning 46 in less than a week - It's hitting me even more that time isn't guaranteed for any of us.
But the real point is:
You don't know my situation.
You assume that you know it, but you don't.
So let me go there:
IN the last week of May a huge source of my monthly recurring income came to a halt with just a few days notice.
I handled it with grace. We still went on our trip to Rome and Greece and had such a fun time showing the kids ACTUAL HISTORY LESSONS STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE
Mission accomplished.
Then, the day we got back my husband was let go from his job with no severance pay. IT HURT. He is still unemployed.
Wowzers, suddenly we were down my MRR plus nearly 6 figure income.
Last year we went through this for 13 MONTHS and it was very hard but I didn't let it stop us from traveling and showing the kids new things. We found a way that worked, and found the money to do it.
So this time around, literally happening RIGHT NOW in real time - If you think I sat on my ass and bîtched about how money is scarce, and the economy sucks, you're WRONG.
I did 3 things (and still do them everyday):
1- Doubled down on my content, messaging, reels, offers, visibility. I made a plan for myself + I executed it even with the chaos. I invested in mentorship. I kept going.
2- I leaned heavily on my Big Sales Breathwork and focused on soothing my nervous system everytime I got mad, resentful, scared, doubted myself, self-sabotaged and wanted to quit and just sell margaritas on the beach somewhere out of a hut
3- I PLANNED A FÜCKING TRIP FOR US. YES I DID. My mindset is: "WOW we have all this time now opened up where we don't have to ask for time off from a random bitchy manager, let's go show the kids the mountains in Georgia, go tubing in Asheville, and make the most of it while our family can be together"
THAT IS THE VIBE. THAT'S THE VIBE WHEN YOU WORK WITH ME. WE DON'T DO THE ITTY BITTY PITY COMMITTEE UP IN HERE.
we do straight up LEADERSHIP. 1% LEADERSHIP.
This isn't the first time I've turned sh*t outta gold either.
Wanna know how I manifested my marriage? by following batshît crazy actions like this in 2013, too!! I was unemployed, had moved by myself to San Diego on purrrreee intuition after getting laid off, met my husband randomly while he was a yachtie traveling the world and used every last dollar I had to visit this man I met for a month in San Diego -
Even using every last dollar in my savings to fly to South Africa to meet him, his family, and see if we really would work out together. (I was down to about $890 in my account when I finally got hired a month after getting back from my trip to SA)
10 months later, we were engaged.
6 months later, we were married.
9 months after that we had our first child.
And it all came from radical self-responsibility, leadership, following intuition and doing what 99% of everyone else around me was saying is super fcking stupid to do.
If you think something is important to you, then go freakin do it. Stop making excuses.
You weren't put on Earth to make excuses and call people Tone Deaf. You're meant for GREATNESS no matter your current situation.

The list goes on and on and on - the things you COULD be doing right now that make a huge difference in your life and are the ticket to you finally living the life you want to live.
You're not going to get there with your 3/6/9 journal, another Quarterly Money Reading from your favorite psychic mentor, another healing session where you expect the healer to do the work, another card pull, etc.
It's real, hard, daily work that you have to put in to get the rewards
It's the nervous system work to make your mindset a steel trap of success
It's the repetitive daily, unsexy actions where you're actively selling (not passively, cutesy, trying to use your branding to do the selling for you)
Go make s**t out of gold.
Stop waiting
Time stops for no one
