bestie turned 18 months this week 💓
Mind blown that he’s only been here 18 months. Feels like he’s been part of my life forever. I love this little guy more than anything in the world 🌙
Fun facts:
• literally repeats evvveerryyything we say (for better or worse 😳)
• loves climbing things
• loves dirt and being messy 24/7 😅
• eats more than I do most of the time lol
• loves monkeys 🐒
He grows & learns more every day… it’s incredible. He’s my biggest teacher and I feel so incredibly blessed he chose me as his mama.

“I allow myself to experience happiness.” — a mantra 💆🏻♀️⤵️
sometimes it feels like I *enjoy* my own misery.
Hear me out: just because we know something doesn’t feel good for us, doesn’t mean we don’t get something from it.
There’s a reason people smoke cigs even though they KNOW it’s not good for them — it’s habitual, gives a sense of stress relief, and triggers a dopamine reward response.
So when a feeling or habit is not “good” for us, yet we still do it, it’s important to understand it’s serving us in some way.
For example, you WANT to be happy, but find yourself stuck in your own misery — this could be due to:
— self sabotage — not believing you’re worthy of happiness
— upper limiting yourself (listen to my pod about this)
— feeling sad/hopeless/anxious is familiar! And sometimes we’re more afraid of the unfamiliar than we are of the emotion we’re used to
— the false idea that we need to work really freaking hard and it has to be miserable in order to feel successful
Can you relate?! ⤴️
So… what the hecknbob do we do?
First of all — its a good idea to issues of worthiness, self sabotage and feelings of anxiety or depression with a trained therapist.
But practically, you can start telling yourself:
I deserve to feel happy.
I allow myself to experience joy.
And BREATHE into a moment that feels like pure bliss to you — let it linger a little longer: that first sip of coffee, a song you really love, the feeling you get when you watch someone you love laugh.
Breathe it in. Soak it in. Revel in it.
You DESERVE to feel pleasure, joy and bliss 💫

this trip has been everything I needed for my soul & mental health ☀️
being in lockdown so many different times over the past two years has really taken a toll on my mental health. Not seeing family or having them be able to be part of Leo’s life, going through pregnancy alone, getting pregnant and having babies at the same time as my friends back home but not being able to see each other, losing my stepdad and not being able to fly home to support my mom, health issues with my family back home. It’s been a lot. And I know some have it so much worse.
I feel so grateful right now for the ocean, sunshine, fresh air and freedom ☀️ 🌊
+ i feel such a sense of renewal of hope & passion. It feels gooooooood and I am excited for life again 🙏🏼
Just wanted to document my thoughts and feelings in real time. Sending you love wherever you are in the world ♥️

This is important.
^^ this is what I remind myself on a daily basis (usually multiple times per day 😅)
Since becoming a mom, my days have become a lot…. Slower. Yet way busier at the same time. (If you’re a mom, you get it)
It feels like you never sit down all day, but then at the end of the day, you’re like “wait what did I do today?!”
You feel constantly busy, but never feel like you’re getting enough done.
I used to feel SO 💩 every day that I wouldn’t have time to:
• work on my business
• keep my home perfectly clean and organized
• meal prep to prepare for the week
• anything else on my never ending to-do list
But then I heard somewhere (can’t remember where?) that whatever you’re doing with your child, IS the most important thing.
Changing their diaper: this IS important.
Feeding them: this IS important.
Spending time on the floor playing with them when you *should* be cleaning: this IS important.
Remember this on the days where you feel like you haven’t had a moment to breathe, but don’t see the fruits of your labor.
THIS. IS. IMPORTANT 🙏🏼

I recorded this episode with one of my favorite humans, Kindra from .kindra!
Kindra is a former client who participated in my 8-week Food Freedom Mentorship, followed by my yearlong group coaching mastermind. I wanted to bring her on the podcast to share her experience with depression, binge eating, therapy, and everything in between, to help you understand that you are not alone in your struggles.
Here's a snippet of what we cover in today's episode:
— Trusting your KNOWING (and how Kindra knew I was pregnant on our retreat haha)
— Why it’s important to surround yourself with women who uplift and empower you vs. gossip and judge you
— How understanding decision fatigue has helped her eating habits
— Learning how to trust yourself in small ways so you can learn to trust yourself in the BIG THINGS
— Kindra's history with depression (not wanting to get out of bed or go to work, and how that led to binge eating) and her rock bottom moment
— Different types of trauma and why trauma-comparing can be harmful
— How binge eating impacted Kindra's relationships
— How to support friends or family who you suspect are struggling
— Kindra's experience working with a therapist
— Cultivating self awareness, asking yourself questions
— And we end with a piece of advice that she would give EVERYONE listening to become more patient and loving with yourself

Swipe to see the photo of baby Mark we recreated with Leo for Mark’s birthday 🥰🐠
We have the picture of baby Mark in our kitchen and Leo always looks at it and says “dada baby” which is how I got the idea.
Off we went with Mark’s mom to purchase Cooper the Pooper 🐠 (her new beloved pet hehe) and the rest is history 😂
Not pictured: Leo putting his hands in the water and trying to fish for Cooper lollll

2014, taking “progress pics” after tanning -> 2021 after my melanoma removal surgery
I realized that I haven’t shared about this in a formal way, but I felt really called to do so… so let’s talk about it.
I grew up in Florida so naturally I was in the sun a lot. You would think a natural tan would be enough, but myself (and many women I knew) spent their high school & college years going to tanning beds.
I would always see the “WARNING” signs when entering the tanning bed room, but I would scoff “psh… never me”
I really didn’t frequent tanning beds *that* often (maybe a few times a year), but I went for two main reasons:
• because everyone else was doing it
• whenever I had a bad body image day, it was a “quick fix” to feel better about myself
I cringe at both of those reasons now, but that was my reality back then.
The consequences of our actions have a way of catching up to us, eh? 😅
Long story short: I had my very first skin check at 29 years old, last year, because I really started caring about my health BEYOND just what I was putting in my body.
Turns out, I had a stage zero melanoma.
THANK GOD I caught it early. It wasn’t super obvious — even the dermatologist wasn’t too concerned and just took a biopsy to be safe.
When it came back as melanoma, I ended up needing to go to a plastic surgeon (photo number 2) to remove a larger surrounding area on my calf to make sure there wasn’t any remaining melanoma. (It actually took a decent chunk out of my leg even though the mole was pretty small!)
I’m so thankful I had the intuitive nudge to get my skin checked & now I will *always* be a HUGE advocate for skin health.
I’m not sharing this to scare you, so I hope I didn’t. I struggle with my own health anxiety so the last thing I want is to make anyone more anxious.
But what I will say is to see a dermatologist to get a baseline skin check — it may pay off big time 💕

I call this one “baby Leo on the beach: winter edition” 🥶💙
I’ve been having fun just not editing photos and posting whatever I want to my feed. Maybe that’s why it feels easier to be consistent.
TBH I was sick of feeling pressure to make everything so pretty / curated…. So I just said F it. I’m going to post a mix of what I want + also things that are helpful and not worry so much 💃
Here’s your reminder you don’t HAVE to do things the way everyone else is doing them. 🥳
