🚨 CAN YOU REALLY BUY A SUPPRESSOR, SBR, OR SBS ON A FORM 4473 NOW?

The short answer is yes, under ATF's new enforcement policy. But before you rush out and buy one, there are some things you should understand.

📢 On October 9, ATF announced that it would no longer enforce certain National Fi****ms Act (NFA) registration and transfer requirements.

That's a significant development for gun owners, and one we welcome. However, there are some important details getting overlooked.

🔹 Federal law has NOT changed.
Congress hasn't repealed the NFA's registration requirements. ATF is simply announcing that it won't enforce certain provisions.

🔹 ATF doesn't make laws.
An agency's decision not to enforce a law is not the same as Congress repealing it. And a future administration could reverse that decision.

🔹 Missouri law matters.
Missouri Revised Statutes § 571.020 ties the legality of possessing certain NFA fi***rms to federal law. ATF's announcement doesn't automatically resolve that issue.

🔹 A Form 4473 is NOT NFA registration.
Purchasing an NFA fi***rm without a Form 4 means it won't be registered to you in the federal NFA registry. ATF has warned that registering it later may not be possible without a future amnesty.

🔹 There is a difference between an ATF policy and a federal court injunction.
Certain suppressor transactions involving qualifying GOA members have additional protection under an actual federal court order. That's why Ultimate Defense has established a limited 4473-only suppressor transfer process with additional eligibility and documentation requirements.

🇺🇸 SO WHAT IS ULTIMATE DEFENSE DOING?

✅ We are currently offering qualifying Missouri residents who are verified GOA members the option to purchase suppressors using Form 4473.

✅ For SBRs and SBSs, we are continuing to use the traditional Form 4 process while evaluating the legal implications of ATF's new guidance.

⚠️ We are also continuing to strongly recommend traditional Form 4 transfers, even for suppressors.

Why? Because an approved Form 4 provides federal registration under the existing legal framework, rather than relying exclusively on an enforcement policy that could change.

We're excited about the direction things are moving, but we're not willing to gloss over potential legal consequences just to make a sale.
