The art of mideastern and tribal fusion rhythms within Bellydance. What we know as in America as Bellydance is actually an ancient yoga practice that followed through India into the Middle East, through Spain and into Egypt.
Each culture has its own history and distinct rhythms as well as dance practice and history. Here at serpent sutra Bellydance we try to learn and understand all of the tribal adaptations of our cultures that we have been influenced by.
It’s important for me as a teacher to make sure that my students know and honor the traditions that we now call Bellydance.

Feeling blessed to be with such a powerful and magical class today. Today we learned about the theory of isolations in Bellydance. We went through muscle toning and building drills and worked on our arms. Everyone did amazing!
