Today's episode of Pulling Threads is live. 🤍
One of the moments that stayed with me most from this conversation was hearing the neuroscience behind heartbreak.
When you're going through a breakup and your chest aches, your stomach is in knots, or it feels like your whole body is hurting, that's not "all in your head."
The same regions of your brain that process physical pain are activated during heartbreak. Your brain experiences emotional pain much like it experiences a broken bone.
I think there's something incredibly compassionate about understanding that.
Because if you broke a bone, you wouldn't expect yourself to be healed in a week. You would give your body the time and care it needs. Emotional healing deserves that same patience.
In this episode, Collin Patrick and I talk about why heartbreak feels so physical, what your brain is actually doing during loss, and how understanding the science can help you move through the healing process with more self-compassion.
I hope this conversation reminds you to be a little gentler with yourself.

Nobody talks about this part.
Where you're not in a divorce but you're not really in a marriage either.
Where you've had the same conversation in your head a thousand times and still don't have an answer.
Is it bad enough?
Am I overreacting?
What if I'm wrong?
What if I'm right?
The uncertainty is its own kind of exhausting.
If this is where you are, you don't have to have it figured out to deserve support right now.
Mindful Untangling is a private community for women at every stage of this, including the stage before you've made a single decision.

Sometimes healing isn't about becoming someone new.
Sometimes it's about understanding why you've been reacting the way you have all along.
When we begin to understand our nervous system, we stop seeing ourselves as broken. We become more curious. More compassionate. More willing to pause before judging ourselves.
That shift changes everything.
Tomorrow's Pulling Threads conversation is one of those episodes that invites you to slow down, reflect, and see yourself through a different lens. I can't wait to share it with you. 🤍

What if the way you've been trying to heal has been working against your nervous system?
This week's conversation challenged so many things I thought I understood about stress, heartbreak, and why we get stuck in patterns we desperately want to change.
We talk about the science behind emotional pain, why survival mode keeps us repeating the same cycles, and what it actually takes to create lasting change.
This episode isn't about quick fixes. It's about understanding yourself in a way that can change how you move through relationships, healing, and everyday life.
It launches tomorrow, and I have a feeling this conversation is going to stay with you. 💛
