REISHI & CHAGA CHAI DECOCTION 🍄🌿
Lor came in to the shop today, and made a Chaga decotion, and I decided to add some Reishi!
The Chaga in this batch was wild foraged in Alaska and supplied by Coyote Medicinals, while the Reishi was personally wild foraged by me in Pisgah National Forest.
Two mushrooms from two very different wild places, brought together with warming chai spices in a slow, rich decoction.
Earthy, spicy, aromatic and deeply cozy, with all those beautiful chai flavors woven through the richness of the mushrooms.
I'll Iightly sweeten this w maple syruo, and highly recommend adding a splash of your favorite milk or cream to makes it extra delightful!
Available in 8 oz jars for $13.
Small batch.
Slow brewed.
Wild foraged mushrooms.
Warming chai spices
Ready by Friday.
I'll have 8 jars.
Reserve through Venmo or PayPal.

A little apprentice alchemy in the apothecary today 🌿
Meet Lor 💚
I can be pretty picky about who I let into my space and who I trust to help me create the things that come out of 13 Moons
Actually...
Super picky.
It’s personal to me.
These aren’t just products I’m making.
There’s a lot of intention, relationship, time and love that goes into what happens here.
But Lor...
I can't explain it, but from the moment she first propositioned me, it felt right
Today she created her very first oxymel, and I got to watch her take the whole process into her own hands.
The wild mint in this blend was gathered from my ancestral lands, right along Lake Michigan.
She processed the mint herself and created the oxymel with wild mint, ginger, lemon balm and fennel.
It was pretty neat watching her in action, but what surprised me most was watching my normal control issues over my products just... dissipate.
Apparently, I trust her. 😂
And it feels really good to share my experience with her.
To teach her where the plants come from.
How they grow.
How they smell.
How they feel.
What they pair with.
How they change through preparation.
Because there is so much more to working with plants than memorizing what a plant is 'good for'
It’s about developing a relationship with them.
Wild mint gathered from my ancestral land along Lake Michigan, now being transformed by the hands of someone who wanted to learn beside ME.
I’m protective over my personal craft
So when someone comes along and just fits...
That feels pretty special 🌿💚
If ya wanna pre-order you a jar, they'll be $25 for an 8 oz jar, and it will be ready in 2 months!

Daytime Events at The Mad Monk / 13 Moons Alchemy
I have Friday and Saturday daytime events locked in for the rest of the year, and I’m still looking for daytime events during regular business hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The shop is open from noonish to 6 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and events during those hours are completely FREE to use the space. There is no venue fee.
The only commitment is that you’re here from at least 12:30 PM to 4 PM.
You don’t necessarily have to be actively teaching or leading the entire time.
The idea is simply that the space is occupied and your event or offering is available during those hours.
Think yoga, choreography, reiki sessions, meditation, sound healing, small creative workshops, art or craft classes, tarot or other spiritual sessions, writing groups, movement classes, educational gatherings, wellness sessions, or other small scale daytime offerings.
This is not intended for large scale events.
I’m looking for smaller, intimate things that work well within the shop during regular business hours.
If you have an idea that would be a good fit, send me a message via messenger on 13 Moons Alchemy page, or through Tracy Meshekey

ARTISTS WANTED 👻🧙🏾♀️🖤
We’re looking for artists to be part of our September and October gallery lineup at Mad Monk!
This is a call for artwork to be displayed in the gallery, not a vendor or market event. We’re looking for work that can be hung or displayed in a gallery setting, including paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, sculpture, and other visual artwork.
We’re looking for work that fits the Halloween season. Think witchy, spooky, gothic, dark, creepy, magical, or anything else that feels like it belongs in October.
Selected artists will have their work featured throughout our October events, and all selected artists will be included in the Arts District Second Saturday Art Walk. We’ll also be choosing one standout artist to be our featured artist.
If you’re interested, please send us 3–5 pieces of your work for consideration, along with a little about what you create. We may choose to take more depending on the space and the work.
And please don’t count yourself out just because you’re a beginner or you don’t think your work is “good enough.”
Whether you’ve been creating for years or you’re just getting started, we want to see what you’re making. At Mad Monk, we truly believe there is a place for everyone.
Send us some photos of your work and a little about what you create. 🖤
If you can't seem to message on this business page, please feel free to send to my personal account Tracy Meshekey
