They’ll go through 4 weeks of progressive skill development learning punches, kicks, blocks, slips, rolls, checks, movement and more.
Beginners start in this program and then can graduate into the ongoing Muay Thai program that operates throughout the week.

Self-defense is about stopping the threat and you need a specific skill set to do this. Being fit, fast or skilled in fitness lifts and movement is not enough. Training self-defense in reality based scenarios is the only way to learn this effectively for when you need it most
Likewise, Traditional martial arts, as taught in particular styles, such as jiu-jitsu, Muay, Thai, karate, aikido, etc. are terrific for building technique and discipline. However, all arts within their systems and even fight sports like MMA fall short for true self-defense.
The rules are simply different. There are no referees. There are no rule books. No trophies. No tap outs. No turn based combat.
You don’t know who your attacker will be. You will be faced with an unknown and unwanted situation that threatens your safety. That assailant will have a specific intent, wanting property pleasure, perversion, revenge, or some other motivation for the attack.
Learning how to prevent possibilities of attack, quickly diagnose active situations and react effectively is self-defense. The techniques you learn in this program take from several different martial arts based on what you actually need to know from attacks we see regularly and combine to form a highly effective reality based skill set that you can take with you wherever you go.
The training is fast and effective. It’s an insurance policy on your safety and well-being. This training doesn’t only enhance your life, it may save your life.

Muay Thai training builds on the foundation of heavy bag kickboxing by adding defensive and footwork elements. Now the target you are trying to hit has arms, legs and moves to hit you back. Also, more strikes like elbows and knees start to open up.
With our unique program we introduce complete beginners to the sport of Muay Thai with the goal of mastering elements of this fighting style. Pad work, learning counters, proper footwork and movement make you understand how these strikes actually are applied and defended properly.
As you progress you’ll have the ability to begin sparring and testing your skills (if desired). We’ll always keep a safe training environment. No egos just skill building
It all starts with a four class intro camp or fast track personal training. Then a pursuit of proficiency in ongoing classes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the week.

We don’t neglect Strength Training. Every human should specifically train muscle to become stronger and live better. The only way to do this is to lift weight 💪🏼
Bodyweight, dumbbell weight, barbell weight, resistance bands and med ball weights
We focus on moving these weights through a full range of motion which promotes strength and mobility. You should not lose mobility by lifting weights ❌
You CAN do a push up. You CAN do a pull up. And you CAN squat your body weight on a barbell. You just don’t know it yet.
Through this program you will get toned and strong to move with purpose. We’ll track your progress and help you learn how to safely get stronger each time you come in
Strength classes happen every Tuesday & Thursday with focuses on Lower Body and Upper Body lifts or exercises.

C.O.B.R.A. is a "Police Academy for Civilians." The self defense academy is not a martial art system with a belt system, gi etc. It is a unique, reality-based self-defense program that teaches the mental smarts as well as the physical techniques that will help keep you and your loved ones safe in the real world. Specific curriculum for kids 5-12 and then adults 13+.
