This progression starts by eliminating the lower body and forcing the athlete to create power through the upper body.
From there, we introduce static positions with more hip loading, allowing the athlete to connect the lower and upper body
Finally, we progress into dynamic, momentum based movement

5 Minute Mobility Routine for Athletes
Coaches come to us all the time with the same problem…
Summer and winter? Booming with athletes. Then school starts. Seasons start. And suddenly their numbers drop off.
And unfortunately, most coaches in this industry just accept it.
“It’s the season.”
“Kids are busy.”
“They’ll come back in the offseason.”
But that doesn’t have to be the case. You shouldn’t have to rebuild your roster every few months just because your athletes’ schedules change.
There are retention strategies you can put in place to keep athletes training year round — even when school and sports are in full swing.
If athlete retention is something you’re struggling with in your business, comment “RETAIN” and we can work through your current strategy

MAX EFFORT POWER DAY
One simple coaching tool we use is marking the landing
When an athlete knows exactly what they need to beat, you’re giving them a clear performance target. That can increase intent and create a competitive environment without needing to add load or excessive volume.
Broad jumps emphasize horizontal projection and the athlete’s ability to apply force in a direction that contributes to acceleration. Seated broad jumps remove much of the preparatory countermovement, making it harder for the athlete to rely on elastic qualities and forcing them to produce force from a more static position
The coaching priority on a max effort power day should be quality over quantity, maximum intent, and self competition
