Summer Camp, Week One. ☀️
This week included:
✓ epic climbing games
✓ trombone solos at snack time
✓ questionable group photo decisions
✓ cheering each other on
✓ making new friends
✓ trying hard things
The climbing is always part of it.
But the best part of camp is watching a group of kids become a community in just a few days.

POV: Coach Kevin is suddenly in a hula hoop obstacle course.
Summer Camp at VV is all about movement, confidence, games, climbing, teamwork, and trying hard things in a place where kids can be fully themselves.
They’ll climb.
They’ll laugh.
They’ll make friends.
They’ll surprise themselves.
Weekly camps for ages 6–16 are running all summer long, with half-day and full-day options available.

Aaron & Izzy: Monks of Main Wall 🧘♂️🧗
Every setting crew has its own personality.
Some operate with wild banter, loud yipping, questionable singing, and a healthy amount of frustrated groans.
and are built different.
Quietly suspended 20+ feet off the deck, they spend hours moving holds, solving puzzles, and speaking only when absolutely necessary.
Thoughtful work and a calm focus that turns into fresh climbs.
Their contemplative practice concluded this afternoon, and the main wall has a fresh batch of top ropes waiting for you.

Former Vanguard teammates Atti and Juli both took home 1st place in the Open division at local Boulder comp.
Years ago, they were training as wee Vanguards together.
Now, they stand at the top of the podium!
