Hope everyone is doing well. I know….. I haven’t been posting many or any fishing reports. So, here it goes. If you’re wondering what I’ve been doing if I’m still fishing or if I’m even running charters here is your answer. 4 years ago Arelys and I started a new business. The Happy Snapper Food Truck. A food truck? Yes. It’s been something we talked about starting for many years before we decided to jump into the business. I bought a car hauler and we built our own food truck ourselves. Thanks to a lot of YouTube videos on how to build a mobile kitchen. It’s been a lot of fun. We’ve learned a lot and 4 yrs in business is still growing and striving. Our menu has a little something for everyone. From fresh Grouper, snapper, lobster, shrimp and avocado tacos to our Crab Rangoon cheese sticks. For those non seafood eaters we have chicken tenders. Of coarse, we do hook and cook. 😂 Even though we started this new business I am still running charters. After all the years on the water, I’ve only been taking out repeat customers. This week the bite has been really good. On the nearshore trips we’ve been catching very nice mangrove snapper, grunts & sharks. Caught a few short hogfish and a few under size gag grouper. The biggest Gag was 22 1/2 inches. On the inshore trips we’ve been catching some very nice speckled trout. We are also catching mangrove snapper, sharks, grunts, and a bunch of Ladyfish. Today’s monster trout was right at 22 inches. If you are on this page most likely we’ve fished together. Welcome to the RCC (repeat customer club). If you’re looking to get out and fish, private message me and I will put you down on my calendar. Stay safe, stay well. Hope to see some of you soon. Tight lines

If you’ve been on my boat you’ve probably heard this song! One of my favorite bands representing St. Pete!!

Today was a special trip aboard the Spanish Sardine fishing charters. 12 years ago, I took out a couple Joe & Jill with their 2 daughters Annie and Becca shark fishing. On that trip we landed 17 sharks. They mentioned how in all those years since they frequently talk about that fishing trip. Today, 12 years later they came back to go shark fishing. Once again it was Joe and Jill their daughter Becca and Becca’s friend Bane. Today we landed 9 sharks. I was trying so hard to beat that number from our previous trip but the rain bands were starting to move closer. Here are pics from 2012 & today’s trip mixed in. I hope they enjoyed their day

We had another great day on the water yesterday. Clients wanted to do a little bit of fishing and they wanted to go swimming/snorkeling. Started fishing for snapper. We got on them once again in deeper water. After 2 hours of catching snappers they had mentioned they went shark fishing with me before. I told them I was 2-6 the day before they asked if we could go and catch a few. Within 20 minutes we landed 3 shark 🦈. We Left them chewing and went snorkeling/swimming. Another great day water. Hope they had fun.

Great day on the water with Chelsie and Curtis. Moved around a bit and caught one here an one there. Then I decide to Move to a deeper spot on the channel and BOOM 💥 they were all there waiting on us. We Caught our 10 snapper and decided to go shark fishing. First bite didn’t take not even a few minutes We ended up 2-6. Tide died so we decided to call it a day. They took their snapper up to the wharf for a hook and cook. They do a phenomenal job with the fish and everyone loves the ambiance. So it’s a win, win. thank you! Hope you both had fun.
