The end of this year marks 10 full years training inside the studio. Training 6 days a week for 10 years. Hopefully I’ll be doing it for the next 10 years as well. I feel very fortunate. I have the most loyal, easy-going and supportive clients a small business could ask for.
I hope everyone had a productive year and made some good memories. Let’s get 2026 rollin!! Happy New Year!!
Pre-run routine: warmups and dynamic stretches to get my legs ready. I prefer movement-based stretching over static stretches since it improves blood flow, performance, and minimizes injury risk. As a 40-year-old with a bad Achilles tendon, careful warmups are a must.
- Banded hip flexion against wall- 15 reps
- Hip swings to the side and front- 15 reps
- Knee extensions, hamstring stretch on floor-12 reps
- Seated ankle circles- 10 each direction
- Dynamic “knees over toes”lower calf stretch- 45 seconds
- Face down roller quad stretches.- 30 seconds
- Jump rope- 5 minutes
Just finished a great workout, taking advantage of the beautiful day to get outside in the Florida sunshine. Just a couple of things we did were Tire slams, DB Incline Chest Press, and Machine Leg Extensions. At 40 with autoimmune issues, long term consistency is key. Exercise helps me sleep better, reduces my anxiety, and encourages healthier eating habits.
Happy 4th birthday to sweet Emma Bemma! Thanks to everyone who celebrated this special day with us - we had an amazing time with a great group of kids!

Today's studio update: a leg curl/leg extension machine. I'm not a fan of relying too heavily on machines, but I do think they're useful. They make it easier for beginners to learn proper form and offer stability for certain populations. The best fitness programs utilize free weights, bodyweight as well as machines.
