The 2025 Great Gulfport Marina Swap Meet was so much fun. Meeting new people buying old stuff was a wonderful treat. Breakfast Chorizo burritos and coffee started the day off just right, visiting friends and buyers, clients and the newest member of the Gulfport Gabber reporting team made it special. The City of Gulfport Marina staff made it all happen, made it fun and easy. Thanks so much for a wonderful job.

Hurricane Milton thought it was funny to put this antique Lyman 26' up on the owners lawn from its boat lift. It was very close, but we did it. The weather was perfect, the ground was just dry enough and the palm trees cooperated by not swaying. We thought we had 18 inches of room, but we found out we only had 2 1/2. Thanks to Peter, Ryan and Josh and especially Ricky Williams at Sunbelt. We were able to get their 6K Tele-Handler lift with 4 wheel steering and tilt, Crab between the palm trees and get her on the trailer.

My heart is broken for this wonderful young couple who have put everything they had into their dreams. So much blood sweat and tears only for Tropical Storm Debby to destroy within a short time. Did I ever tell you about the time we were asked to find a Drop Keel for a Sailboat? We said "sure, no problem", I mean how hard could it be, right? Well,......... three lift bags later and with the help of Gulfport's UTV winch, we hauled it from Boca Ceiga Bay, to the ramp and then the parking lot. Whew! .............2500 pounds and 8 feet later, Ryan and Keith made it happen. At 49 cents a pound, a pretty penny for the scrapper. Oh, and Guliano Parker was our man on the lift bags, wonderful teamwork men.

Such a sad, but happy day for our Mega yacht, leaving our waters to take a few years to explore new waters and adventure far away. All the best Captain, we'll see you on your return. It was our pleasure to maintain and service your ship, Thanks to Corey Hanson, She's ready for Haul Out.
