On Wed Aug 19 at 6p, show your support for safer cycling for the proposed extension of the bike lanes on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North. The public hearing will be held at the Campbell Park Recreation Center.

If you ride bicycles in St Petersburg, this is an opportunity to be part of the conversation about the future of the city's bicycle infrastructure.

Whether you ride MLK regularly or simply care about creating a safer, better-connected bicycle network throughout Pinellas County, we encourage you to attend and make your voice heard.

Public meetings like this are where community input matters; having cyclists in the room helps ensure that the perspective of people who actually ride our streets is represented.

Great memory, great cause: I proudly wore my St. Pete Bicycle Club jersey, front 'n' center, on behalf of the "No Drilling Off Our Coasts" protest on August 4, 2012. With the Suncoast Sierra Club, Alan Snel/Save the Friendship Trail Coalition, and some rather amazing bi-partisan camaraderie.

Join us at 8a on July 4th for a holiday ride from the *St Pete Bike Co-op* in St Pete to Pass-a-grille. Note that the start location was changed to the Bike Co-op due to conflicts with other events at the pool on Saturday.

There will be groups riding at various speeds (16, 18, 20, etc). Non members are welcome — you just need to sign a waiver before rolling out.

The Village Idiots Cycling Club is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 12th Annual Women On Wheels (WOW) Ride – Stars, Stripes & Spokes!

Join us as we celebrate women in cycling with a fun, supportive, and memorable day on the bike. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or newer to the sport, the WOW Ride offers an incredible experience designed by women, for women.

The WOW Ride would not be possible without the support of our amazing sponsors. We are currently seeking additional sponsors who want to support women's cycling while gaining visibility within our active and engaged cycling community.

Volunteers Needed

We're also looking for men to volunteer to help make this year's event a success. Opportunities include SAG support, course assistance, event setup, rider support, and more.
