The crew at Blue Bonefish Belize. Last night. Happy and sad combined. 18 permit and multiple bones

21 bonefish to the boat for me. My boat mate also boated 21. So 42 to the boat in one day. It doesn’t get any better than that.

It took Nick a day and a half to do what I tried to do for years. Caught a permit. Then I ended up breaking by five-year permit Trout and caught too. Not really big, but a permit is a permit.

We have a crew at blue bonefish in Belize right now. Carol with her first bonefish ever and me with a big one. Highlight of the day was Darby caught a 24 pound permit.

3 or4 days this week chasing the ground slam. Tarpon bone fish and permit. Several days at 2/3 of a slam is a bonefish and a tarpon but could never close the deal on the bonefish. We had three grand slams last week by three different anglers.

Fifth day Espirito Bay Mexico. Still chasing a grand slam. 2 tarpon in the first hour then Permit. Multiple shots. Multiple follows. No eats. Permits are Permit.

Bob got a grand slam today. Permit bonefish and baby tarpon. I got 2/3 of a grand slam bonefish and tarpon. Fun times in Espirito Santos Bay Mexico.
