What a Weekend.
After many years without hosting a true Member-Guest, Elkdale Country Club proudly brought the event back, and it exceeded every expectation. Over three days, 21 teams battled it out in five flights, creating one of the most competitive and enjoyable weekends we’ve had in a long time.
The atmosphere around the club was incredible. With outstanding golf to lots of laughs in the clubhouse, it was everything a Member-Guest should be. Thank you to everyone who participated, and trusted us to hosting such a great event. Let’s give a special thanks to Dave Mosbacher and Denny Lord for providing our contestants with a golf course in tremendous condition, and food we all could die for.
The best part is that we’re just getting started. With Elkdale celebrating its Centennial in 2027, we’re already planning to make next year’s Men’s Members Invitational even bigger and better. If you missed this year’s event, make sure you don’t miss the next one!
Championship Flight
Congratulations to Dan Smith & Gary Christopher, who captured the Championship Flight with 31.5 points.
After a modest Day 1, multi-time Club Champion Dan Smith came out firing on Sunday, posting back-to-back 32s in his two nine-hole matches and earning 7.0 and 7.5 points. It was a dominant finish from Elkdale’s course record holder and enough to secure the Championship Flight title.
A special shoutout also goes to Andy Pascarella & Justin Uhrinek, who came within a half-point of advancing to the Shootout. They scored five points in one of their matches that ended in a tie. Had they earned just one more point, they would have won all five matches and advanced to the finals.
1st Flight
The closest race of the weekend belonged to the 1st Flight.
Both Chris & Gary Christopher and Phil Jimerson & John Lee finished with 27.5 points. On the final hole, Chris narrowly missed a short putt that would have given his team the outright victory.
Instead, the tiebreaker came into play, with Jimerson & Lee advancing after winning their head-to-head match 6.5-3.5.
2nd Flight
This flight belonged to Jamie Pierce & Jared Brechbuehl.
The duo put together one of the most impressive performances of the tournament, scoring 35 points while winning every single match. They never slowed down all weekend and entered the Shootout with all the momentum.
3rd Flight
Congratulations to Pete Weishan & Randy Hooper, who won the 3rd Flight with 33 points.
The pair played consistently throughout the weekend, but Randy seemed to have one extra gear whenever Head Golf Professional Alex Fisher happened to be nearby. Randy managed to make a gross par on every hole Alex was watching—something the rest of us may never let him forget!
Cellar Flight
One of the unique twists this year was introducing the Cellar Flight, giving the lowest Day 1 team from each flight a second chance to reach the Shootout.
That opportunity was seized by Derick Cuozzo & Pat Fitzgerald, who posted 12 points on Day 2 to finish with 24.5 points, earning the final spot in the Shootout.
Shootout Champions
The weekend belonged to Jamie Pierce & Jared Brechbuehl.
Fresh off their perfect run through the 2nd Flight, they carried that momentum into the Shootout, making a 5-for-4 on the opening hole and never looking back.
After two days of phenomenal golf, they were crowned the 2026 Elkdale Members Invitational Champions.
