Intuitive exercise is flexible, so if we end up missing a workout, We show our-self some compassion, be understanding for we couldn’t make it to the gym, and then move on.

When we try to keep a strict exercise routine it can mean that, if it doesn’t happen, We end up feeling guilty which can cause more stress and lower motivation to exercise the next time.

Starting at the top of our head, focus on each of our body parts and how they are feeling. Head, neck, shoulders, arms, chest, back, etc – making our way slowly down our body.

A short body scan is a great way to begin tuning into our body’s physical and emotional state.

We are often so eager to begin that we give everything we have right away. Take running a race for example. If we take off from the starting line at our full speed and max effort, we'll be winded by the second lap. The best runners are the ones who know when to hold back and when to go all out.

It's easy to feel overwhelmed when you have a huge goal or project in front of you. And often when we feel overwhelmed, we procrastinate. Instead, break the task into smaller parts and tackle them one by one.

According to a study at the Institute for Social Research, if students don't perceive their goals as meaningful or valued, their engagement with goal attainment progress will diminish. Don't make it a priority to run a road race if we hate running or get a promotion if we hate our job. Make a list of things that are important to us and pick something that really matters.
