Discipline & Motivation. It was pouring rain today I was not “motivated” to run it was “discipline” that got me off my ass because Monday Wednesdays and fridays are run days period! However it was running in the downpour in 50 degree weather that “MOTIVATED” me to run my fastest 3 miles in probably 2-3 years. Moral: discipline trumps all BUT with discipline you may find interesting moments of motivation to get up@and get after harder than you thought. LFG!!!! 💪

I can’t express in words how proud I am of . Last night Michael brought home the win after 3 rounds of war. We spent hours drilling the game plan and like Mike Tyson said “everyone has a plan till you get punched in the mouth” But regardless of how many shots mike took he stuck to the plan and was victorious. Thank you Michael for being an incredible student, you come every day with 150% effort and respect. Enjoy this win you truly are a warrior and Represent me and my school with honor.

I had an awesome time teaching my nephews Will and Dannys Cub Scout troop a mini Krav Maga class. The kids were amped and had a blast, and uncle alan may have had some fun too. Was an honor to be able to offer my time to such great kids. Till next time!

Overwhelmed with joy today!! I got a chance to teach a Woman’s self defense workshop to this group of powerful ladies. They did AWESOME everyone trained hard, and had great questions. Thank you to all that attended and a BIG thank you to our host my brotha Chris, was a great turnout looking forward to the next.

Shot from a big yoga class yesterday. In September I took a position teaching yoga at a local private high school. I had no idea how teens would take to yoga. I have to say I’m so pleasantly surprised at how into the class they are, they all try super hard, and ask great questions. It’s been a remarkable experience I can’t wait to see how the program grows in the future.

TRUTH! I say things like this to people all the time when I teach self defense. “You need fight like your life depends on it, cause it probably does” and “you have to assume no one is coming to help you, cause they probably aren’t” Hard words to hear but it’s a reality. Find a good trainer or school, train often, train like you mean it, build solid practices of situational awareness and self preservation tactics. The world can be hard be harder!!! OSU
