A Salem nonprofit will have free clothes, food and haircuts for youth ages 11-18, along with a slew of resources for all during the annual Punx in the Park resource fair at Riverfront Park on Saturday.

We wanted to let the testers have their day of glory, but there is another crew that needs to be mentioned: the proctors. Proctors are the backbone of testing! They help make sure the testers stay healthy and safe, enforce standards, and pick up any slack as needed.

Kensho is incredibly blessed to have such amazing people willing to give up a Saturday morning to make sure everyone testing has the best possible.

Thank you so much to Holly, JD, and Grant for making the time to help me out! You are the BEST!!! 👊

Please help us welcome Kensho's two newest black belts! Sometimes in life, things happen and we have to make an unexpected pivot. Seems like there was a lot of that leading up to today's test, but it worked out amazingly in the end. (Normally, All Ranks & Black Belt tests happen separately...)

Geoff and Kaili did a killer job rolling with the punches during the physical part of the test and handled an onslaught of questions during the knowledge-based projects.

It's an honor to finally have them *officially* join us at the rank of black belt and look forward to the next leg of their journey!

Congratulations on making it through the day with a lot of sweat, no blood, and only a few happy tears! You both did a fantastic job!!! 👊🥋
