Salem State Campus Life and Rec The Harold E. and Marilyn J. Gassett Fitness and Recreation Center is a 39,000 square foot addition to the O’Keefe Complex.

The two-story glass-walled fitness center contains top-tier exercise equipment, a new gym, studio spaces for dance and aerobic exercise, locker rooms, lounges and offices. The structure earned a LEED Silver certification.

Fall intramural sports:

Flag Football (7v7) - Registration deadline: 9/13 (!)
Volleyball (6v6) - Registration deadline: 9/20
Co****le (2v2) - Registration deadline: 9/27
Softball (10v10) - Registration deadline: 10/4
Indoor Soccer (5v5) - Registration deadline: 10/25

Want to get off campus for a weekend adventure? Campus Life and Recreation is sponsoring a day hike and lunch on Saturday, October 3!

The hike will take place at Prospect Hill Park in Waltham, traversing about a 3 mile loop. Transportation and lunch will be provided. Registration is mandatory and closes soon! Use the LinkTree on our page to sign up by Friday, 9/11.

Superfan Tailgate is Tuesday, September 1! This campus tradition kicks off the academic year, and you don’t want to miss it!

Join us at the O’Keefe Complex for novelties, food trucks, tie-dye, games, and giveaways. Show your support and cheer on our women’s soccer team at 4 pm and our men’s soccer team at 7 pm.

This event runs from 4 pm-8 pm and no registration is required.

Blacklight Dodgeball is Friday, September 4! Teams of 6-10 players compete under the glow of the blacklights to determine a champion. Check in begins at 7:15 pm, with games beginning at 8 pm.

Sign up using the registration form in our LinkTree! Neon t-shirts and glow materials will be provided. Guests over 18 are free with valid photo ID.
