We officially kicked off our Strength, Conditioning & Fundamentals preseason training yesterday, and what a great start! We had an awesome turnout, everyone worked hard, had a lot of fun, and we can't wait to see how much these athletes grow over the next few months. Big things are ahead for these kids, and we're excited to be a part of their journey!

We're excited to share a CKYL Facility Update!

The building is officially cleaned out, completely demoed, and renovations are underway! Every swing of a hammer brings us one step closer to giving our wrestlers a place to call home.

Because of the incredible support from our team & community, we've raised $21,111.88 through our calendar fundraiser, rummage sale, auction, bake sale, generous donations, and tournament earnings. We truly cannot thank everyone enough for believing in our vision and helping make this dream a reality.

Our next project is enclosing the outside of the building, creating our new entryway, and building walls to close off the storefront area. Once that's complete, we'll move on to insulation and getting the interior walls up as we continue transforming this building into the CKYL Den.

This has truly been a team effort, and we're so grateful to everyone who has donated, volunteered, supported our fundraisers, and cheered us on along the way. We still have work ahead of us, but seeing the progress makes us even more excited for what's to come.

!!CKYL Facility Renovation Update!!

We have had several people ask when we will be at the new facility working on renovations, so we wanted to share our schedule for the rest of this week:

We are excited to share that we have made great progress! Every wall from the front of the building all the way to the back of the warehouse has been torn out. Our goal this week is to finish the remaining teardown from the warehouse back to the office/workout area and get ready for the rebuild!

A huge thank you to Josh Werber, Parker Farr, Sammy Cell, and Carl Burkholder for all their hard work this past week helping with the teardown and renovations.

We also want to give a BIG thank Danny Huehl with Kansas Homes and Movers, LLC for cutting trees around the building and Diehl Enterprises, Inc for providing trash bins and disposal.

We are so thankful for everyone who has helped make this vision a reality. We can’t wait to continue building a facility our Young Lions and wrestling community can be proud of!

We had so much fun at our Central Kansas Young Lions End-of-Year Party! From Dunk a Lion, Cup Chaos, Pull of the Pride, Jungle Jump, and Don't Drop the Mane, there was no shortage of laughter and fun. We enjoyed great food, great company, and one of the best parts was watching our wrestlers build friendships and make memories off the mat. We can't wait to see all of our Young Lions back in the room starting August 2nd as we kick off our Preseason Strength, Conditioning & Fundamental Training season!

Ready to get back in the room and start preparing for the upcoming wrestling season? Our preseason program is designed to help athletes build strength, improve conditioning, and sharpen the fundamentals that make a difference when the season begins.

Whether you're new to wrestling or have been on the mat for years, this is a great opportunity to grow, work hard, and have fun alongside your teammates!

After just one week, we've already torn down all of the front walls and have started on the walls in the back. The progress has been incredible, and we couldn't do it without dedicated people like Josh who are helping turn this vision into reality.

Building Update!

We're excited to share that our rummage sale and auction are officially complete! Thanks to the incredible support of our friends, families, and community, we've raised funds that will go directly toward renovating the future home of the Central Kansas Young Lions Training Center. A huge thank you to Reece Construction Co. and Construction Rental Inc. for completely cleaning out the building and getting it ready for the next phase, and to Diehl Enterprises Inc. for generously providing the dumpsters to haul everything away. With the building now cleaned out, demolition is ready to begin! We're one step closer to creating a home where future generations of wrestlers can grow both on and off the mat. Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared our posts, or supported our fundraising efforts. We couldn't do this without you, and we can't wait to share the transformation with you!
