Black belt testing, part 2

09/16/2026

Delayed post: A few weeks ago some of our students underwent black belt testing. They endured a 20 mile run along the coast from Monterey to Marina State Beach. They tested their limits and endurance. From Marina State Beach some of our lower belt students ran back 10 miles to Monterey with them. Upon their return they then performed katas, hand techniques and kicks in the water. There is nothing quite like the resistance of the ocean to test your strength and focus. We are very proud of your accomplishments and determinationšŸ„‹
