With the announcement of The Laguna Seca Auction, Bonhams|Cars has unveiled a second historic featured car: the Dan Gurney-driven Lola-Ford T70 Mark II Can-Am sports-racing car.

Driving the Lola-Ford T70 Mark II, Dan Gurney scored a one-off victory at Bridgehampton, Long Island, during the second round of the 1967 Can-Am Championship — marking it as the only Ford-powered win during the original nine-year run of the legendary Can-Am series from 1966 to 1974.

Held alongside the prestigious Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca during Monterey Car Week, The Laguna Seca Auction brings together some of motorsport’s most significant race cars and the stories behind their enduring legacy.

During Monterey Car Week, Bonhams|Cars will present The Laguna Seca Auction, featuring the Jim Clark-driven Vollstedt-Ford 67B IndyCar—a rare and significant piece of American open-wheel racing history.

Driven by two-time Formula 1 World Champion and 1965 Indianapolis 500 winner Jim Clark, the Vollstedt-Ford represents a remarkable chapter in motorsport history, when one of the sport’s greatest drivers competed at the highest levels.
