🤠 Help Us Support the Next Generation of Rodeo!

Our Junior Rodeo is all about giving young cowboys and cowgirls the opportunity to compete, learn and make some pretty great memories along the way.

We’re looking for donors who would like to help us make this year’s event possible. Donations help us provide awards for our contestants and cover the many behind-the-scenes costs that come with putting on a safe, quality event, including having an ambulance on site, arena and event expenses, and more.

There are several ways to help, from choosing your own donation amount to sponsoring a buckle or the event. Every contribution makes a difference and is greatly appreciated!

Interested in supporting the Junior Rodeo on September 19th? Take a look at our donor opportunities here:

Thank you for helping us continue the tradition and give these young competitors an experience they’ll remember! šŸ¤ ā¤ļø

In celebration of the Year of the Horse, the ProRodeo Hall of Fame honors bucking horse, Hell’s Angel. Inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1979, Hell’s Angel usually left the chute with a high wrenching kick that gained impetus from kicking the back of the chute. The 1,300-pound Percheron Pinto is the horse Gene Pruett described as the ā€œgreatest bucking horse of all time.ā€

Thank you, Kendra, for these incredibly kind words. ā¤ļø Tradition means so much to us at the California Rodeo Salinas, and we’re proud to carry on what generations before us worked so hard to build.

That wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers—past and present—who give their time, energy and heart to keeping Big Week and its traditions alive year after year.

We’re honored to be recognized alongside the Pendleton Round-Up with the inaugural Rodeo Legacy Award. Here’s to staying a little old school. 🤠
