Current Gold National players and Salem High School Sophomores, Maddie Bellavia and Lily Gross, were a heroic duo this past week as Salem avoided a first round post-season upset thanks to these two!

Maddie hit her 200th varsity strikeout, and Lily went 4-4 at the plate with a walk-off triple in the bottom of the 7th! Way to work ๐ŸฅŽ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Avary DiPerri and Stella Nadeau both threw runners out trying to steal second, while Reagan Williams played tremendously well at second base.

Our 14u team didnโ€™t miss a beat as they rolled through their first spring/summer tournament this past weekend! A split group, our 14s are coming off spectacular high school seasons while our 13s have been representing their school teams.

With some rain delay, the squad went an undefeated 5-0 to take home the championship. Bianca Piscatelli led with 10 hits, including 4 doubles and a triple. The group as a whole smashed 62 hits and only struck out 5 times across the entire weekend.

Grace Hunter and Isabella Taveira did most of the work in the circle, striking out 27 across 19 innings together. The defense turned 3 double plays to help them out.

Our 14s going to have an amazing summer! ๐ŸฅŽ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
