What a beautiful morning on High Rock Lake! I had the privilege of taking Ottis and Frank from Troy, NC fishing and we had a blast and caught fish too! Crappie were in a cove and were caught on jigs and minnows!

3/6/26 was a beautiful day on High Rock Lake and in the low 80’s! While fishing for crappie I had a big surprise! A 25” striper and it was heavy! Probably had eggs !

Trolling on High Rock Lake for stripers! 3 white bass on spoons were caught so far! What a beautiful Sunday!

11-5-25 I was on High Rock at 2 pm and noticed the birds were diving which mean the bait fish were near the surface. Using my trusty Lowrance depth finder there was a lot of bait. The conditions to me were striper conditions! I trolled for a couple hours in a location I have caught stripers in the past, like 2 years ago. Thick white bass were caught but I didn’t see any stripers YET! To be continued!

11-26-25 I was on High Rock. Kim and Steve were introduced to slow trolling or long lining . The wind was making it difficult but we caught bream, large mouth and small stripers! I was very impressed of Kim’s casting skills! I invited them to come back anytime! They got to see the eagle near the main channel at Second creek!

I just had to try this evening before dark trolling for striper. I didn’t find any yet but it’s time! I was in High Rock Lake and it has been windy all day . I crappie fished for an hour and picked up a couple.

WOW!!! What an afternoon of fishing! We caught some pretty crappie! We also caught a lot of crazy fish ( white bass)! We were on High Rock Lake today and had a blast! I get giddy and giggle a little when we are catching fish! Come on and go with me! I have fished all my life and a coast guard approved captain! I am insured and would love to see your giggles when catching fish!

The parking lot is open at Pebble Beach at Flat Swamp boat ramp ! So if you have been avoiding that boat ramp cause you had to park up on the hill the parking lot is available near the ramp!

We went fishing for flounder during the season in the area of Holden Beach for a week and did okay! I brought home filets from 4 flounder and 2 trout! After September 27 I will be back on High Rock so if you’re interested give me a call!
