Motivation will not be high every day, and that is completely normal.
On the days you do not feel like doing much, lower the pressure:
• Commit to just 10 minutes
• Choose an easier version of your workout
• Remember why you started
You do not need a perfect workout to make progress. You just need to keep showing up.
Save this for the next day you need a reset. 💪

For 18 years, THE FORUM’s Thanksgiving Butterball 5K has brought our community together, raising and donating over $200,000 to support the Terrie Hess Child Advocacy Center. This Thanksgiving marks our 19th annual race!
The team at Terrie Hess Child Advocacy Center helps children in Rowan County who have experienced abuse, providing medical evaluations, therapy, and family advocacy at no cost to families. Your participation helps support this important work and the children who depend on it.
Thank you to everyone who has helped build this Thanksgiving tradition. Let’s continue making a difference together.

Eating for results isn’t about chasing perfect numbers, it’s about creating a plan you can consistently follow.
Start with a reasonable target, then pay attention to what your body is telling you:
🏋️ Is your strength improving?
⚡ Do you have energy throughout your workout?
😴 Are you recovering between sessions?
📈 Is your weight trending toward your goal?
Give your plan time before making changes. Daily scale fluctuations are normal, so look at your average progress across several weeks, not one weigh-in or one meal.
And remember: tracking is a tool, not a test. Your targets should guide your choices without making nutrition feel impossible.
Save this post and speak with one of our personal trainers if you would like more information for an individualized plan.
What’s harder for you: eating enough, staying consistent, or knowing what to adjust? Tell us below. 👇

⏱️ Motivation won’t always show up. Your habits can.
Some days you’ll feel ready to train. Other days, getting through the gym doors feels like the workout itself.
You don’t need every workout to be your best one. Building a healthy lifestyle comes from showing up consistently, even when you’re not feeling 100%.
Give yourself permission to have an average workout. It still counts. 💪
