💪🏼DCYHA is 100% volunteer driven, and we greatly appreciate all of the hours dedicated to the success of the DCYHA hockey program.

Coaches have the greatest number of training to complete to achieve compliance. 🏒

Mandatory screening and training elevate DCYHA to the standards expected of the highest quality youth recreation programs.

To maintain good standing with USA Hockey and Utah Amateur Hockey Association, we ask all volunteers to participate in Safe Sport Training, and for coaches specifically, to attend Coaches Camp, instructed by DCYHA Coaching Director, Rich Lucy.

Director Lucy even brought select youth volunteers to help him teach our volunteers!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The 10u, 12u, and 14u Select Travel Teams held Mini Camp Ice Sessions this past week at the South Davis Rec Center in Bountiful.

There, they learned skills, performed drills, and got to know their new team mates. Coaches were on the ice working out right alongside the players.

DCYHA announces the Be the Change annual scholarship award. Mahatma Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” The quote was Greg Stewart’s motto.  This scholarship is awarded to those who strive to make their communities better.

This scholarship is in honor of Chief Greg Stewart, who dedicated 25 years to the fire service with South Davis Metro Fire, serving in every role from firefighter to Fire Chief. Along with his wife, Ashley, they supported their children as dedicated hockey players in the DCYHA program for over 15 years. 

The winning submission will receive a 100% tuition scholarship for the 2026-2027 season. The scholarship winner will be chosen by the Stewart family. Submissions are due by September 15th, 2026.

The Davis County Youth Hockey Association is saddened by the news of the tragic loss of the Long Family in the recent flash flood in Wayne County.

They were long-time members of the Utah hockey community with Gage & Thayne Long.

Pro Ambitions has partnered with the Utah Mammoth to bring their famous battle camps to Utah this summer. They were founded by former NHL player Jeff Serowik and have run elite youth hockey training for over 30 years.
Here are the dates and times:
• Session 1: July 13-16 (Mon-Thu)
◦ Ages 11-17: 2:00pm-6:00pm
• Session 2: August 10-13 (Mon-Thu)
◦ Ages 11-17: 5:00pm-9:00pm

Each session is 4 hours total, with 2 hours of intense on-ice training and 2 hours of off-ice training in the awesome Mammoth rinkside training room.

We know it's a lot to read, but wow, will this flyer answer many of the questions you have regarding registration for the upcoming 2026- 2027 Season.

Pay particular attention to the tiered system and see where you fit in there...

Also, don't try to outsmart the system when registering... this process is still run by humans (not ai) and we know if your player isn't a returning participant 😬😅
