Black Diamond Motorsports

We are down, but we are not out! Got the car unloaded, engine out and went through it from top to bottom, a couple times, till we found the issue. We eliminated everything we thought it could be and honestly couldn’t find the issue. Finally, took off the head and low and behold, we found the issue! Dropped a valve seat that in return, broke into a bunch of pieces! Besides this, everything else on the engine looks great! We are headed a couple hours up North to drop the head off and get her fixed!

We didn’t want to call the season a bust until we knew 100% what the issue was, so now our plan is to hopefully ready to race the Pink Lady Classic in September!

Well, today was suppose to be race day for us, but unfortunately when we pushed out to practice once more last night, the car wouldn’t turn over. We got it back to the trailer, checked everything it could’ve possibly been and have narrowed it down to something internal in the engine has expired…ending our race weekend 😔 unfortunately it happens, but it doesn’t make it suck any less! We’ll get the motor home, get her apart, and get her fixed, but for now we are parked haha!

Thank you to everyone who came and helped us yesterday, we are so grateful to have such a good group of friends at the racetrack! Also a very big thank you to Ashley and Brent Collins for offering Kyle their car for the weekend, we love you guys!

We will still be at our trailer passing out goodie bags and enjoying the races tonight, come and say hi to us after the races ❤️

Happy (almost) 4th of July everyone! We are so excited to celebrate our independence in our favorite way possible…at the racetrack 🏁

Our plans were to go race the King of the Wing series in Colorado, but plans changed and we will be racing Monday, July 4th, at Meridian Speedway with the Speed Tour Series!

Racing will start at 4, and as always, updates will be found here throughout the day! If you’re planning on coming to the show, come see us after, we will have goodie bags and candy for everyone!

We have made it home for our weekend at Diamond Cup! Our Saturday race night was not the outcome we were hoping for, but everytime the car is on track, we learn something new to grow and make our program better! We may not have won, but the car rolled into the trailer in one piece (well, minus the front bumper 😂) All in all, it was a great weekend! We learned a lot, made lots of laps and had a great time doing what we love, with the people we love!

Our next race weekend will be July 1st - 3rd with the King of the Wing Series! We are looking forward to another great race weekend 🏁

Diamond Cup night #✌🏼

Last night we started the main, had a little spin out in the middle of the race and then after the 4th caution, the car wouldn’t accelerate and Kyle decided it’d be best to pull off. He pulled off the track right before a red flag and we’re hopeful we could get it fixed, but that wasn’t the case! We had a clogged fuel filter which we think ended up clogging everything else in the system! The car is now all fixed and ready to play today…while sporting a nice blue fuel tank 😎 We are excited to get going today and hopeful to have a fun filled Saturday 🏁

It’s night one of Diamond Cup here in the concrete jungle 🏁💎 We are super excited to be apart of the 20+ sprint cars on property tonight, lots of fast cars and good racers, it’s going to make for one hell of a race 😎

Shoutout to our friends at RedTide Canopies for keeping us nice and covered today! Our custom Black Diamond Motorsports canopies are keeping the car (and us) nice and shaded on this toasty Meridian Friday! If you’re in need for a fancy canopy, hit them up and let them know we sent you!

Cars are on track at 3:30! The race should be broadcasted on FloRacing, but if it isn’t, we will be live here for the heats and mains!

What a day! Kick ass qualifying, heat race win, and the car in one piece 😂 it’s only the second race of the year, but it seems like everything is falling into place and we are seeing those small victories more and more!

Kyle finished 7th in the main tonight after starting 5th 🏁

Our next race will be Diamond Cup 💎 😎June 10-11 at Meridian Speedway!

After a long day of trying to figure the car out, it was finally feeling good in the main! Around halfway lost a nut that holds the tie rod to the steering arm on the Left front. Unfortunately ended our night. All and all it was a good race day and the car rolled into the trailer in one piece!
