Happy Birthday, Gabriel. How quickly a year has gone and how much you've grown. It is an absolute privilege to watch you develop. I promise to always be here for you. To give you every opportunity to be a good man. To teach you to aim high and pursue your dreams, relentlessly. Strength Program Week 7
Barbell Deadlift 5 x 340lbs
After weeks of frustration, am finally feeling like things are coming back together. There have been more days than not where pushing myself was the last thing I wanted to do. Even in lifting, you can be lazy. Whether it's you rest too long, lift less weight than your potential, or jog when you can sprint. That feeling when you know you've left something on the table. And sure, some days that's ok, but when you're having more of those days than good ones, you're in the danger zone. How you do one thing is how you do everything. Those habits seep in to the rest of your life.
You don't want to do it, but you do it anyway.
Every rep of every set, your body and mind say no, but you do it anyway.
Those things on your to-do list that you've been allowing to give you anxiety for weeks, maybe months, they are not going away. You do it anyway. It's never as bad as you thought.
Next thing you know, nothing phases you, you are fu***ng bulletproof. You've received the keys to the kingdom and they have been molded in the furnace of your discipline.
But it's all training baby. The life you want to live, if you're not there yet, it's going to take a better you to achieve it. So keep pushing, stay positive, and grind.
Unpopular opinion: our current culture breeds and justifies mediocrity. You can accept that or shut the f**k up and get to work.

Back Squats - 5 x 300lbs
When the gyms shut down due to covid, having not been able to lift for a few months took it's toll. Despite having worked out daily with minimal equipment, returning to the gym was humbling. Literally 95lbs on a back squat felt heavy. Needless to say, I was in desperate need of a solid strength program. 3 days a week is all I had to dedicate but I am pleased with the results. 7 weeks later and I am pushing 300lbs and things feel solid. The world's turned upside down but the best thing we can do is stay healthy and strong both physically and mentally. God bless 🙏

Happy Monday!
I am a strong believer in using momentum to accomplish goals. Small wins help you feel like you're accomplishing something. If we focus on the bigger goals, we'll feel like we will never get there. That's why the small wins are so important. They give you confidence and hope. The keep us motivated to keep on going where it snowballs into the development of the bigger goals.
That's why it's such an advantage to making Monday one of the strongest days of the week. This is an OPPORTUNITY to START the week fresh.
In the weeks to come, we will talk about habit building and how best apply it to your life. It works for fitness but it also conveniently works for other areas of your life!!!

Foam Rolling Recovery
Making sure to recover properly after a hard workout week, is crucial to not only your mobility goals, but will aid in your speed of recovery and help you prevent unwanted injuries. Whether your goals are to lose fat or to pack on some muscle, it is the recovery process in which your body makes the changes happen!
The foam roller is one of my favorite recovery tools for its versatility and ease of use. What are some benefits of foam rolling? A good foam rolling session can have similar benefits to getting a sports massage.
Improves range of motion and flexibility.
Increases blood flow to specific areas.
Helps reduce the soreness from working out (DOMS!!!!)
Prevents injuries.
If you are new to foam rolling, it can be a little uncomfortable at first, so start light and work your way to being able to handle more pressure.
