I’ve known about intermittent fasting for at least a decade but never considered trying it.

Maybe it was because I thought that eating small meals more frequently was necessary for a healthy metabolism.

While going into “starvation” was supposed to slow it down.

Or perhaps it was because I thought that besides calorie restriction, intermittent fasting had no other benefit for weight loss.

Which is why I didn’t expect it to work any better than the diets I tried before.

And just recently, I discovered that either way, I was wrong.

I never had any problems with my weight and stayed around 125 pounds without much effort.

The first challenge I had was during my pregnancy.

I gained around 40 pounds but eventually returned to 135.

But after a couple of years, I had a second baby, and that’s when I lost control over my weight.

Hey, I'm Emily, a mom of two, and being 37 pounds lighter from my heaviest already, I don’t plan to stop there.

It’s because now I know I can reach my pre-pregnancy weight again… at the age of 49!

And looking back, it’s crazy to think I was skeptical about this way of eating for so long.
