Work hard. Rest harder.
Mike, a seasoned sailer, was right at home on Dinzer Doo. He brought such a calming presence amongst some challenging time. He has a lifetime of experiences on the high seas and stories you wouldn’t believe. It was fun to have him as part of our crew for one of his last great adventures. Who says you have to grow up?

“What’s up with all the pink shirts? 💖
At the Rolex Middle Sea Race, the Dinzer Doo crew—a team of family and friends brought together by father-daughter duo Daniel and Mika Thomas—wore pink shirts that said, ‘In this family, no one fights alone.’ Our shirts were in honor of Daniel’s wife, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and for the thousands of women who have faced this battle. Named after her childhood nickname, Dinzer Doo represents her strength and adventurous spirit. We wanted her—and all those fighting—to feel the love and support of our family. Just as we take on the waves together, we’re here for her and everyone in this fight. 🩷 ”

Team Dinzer Doo is alive and well and we start our 3rd day at sea. Our first day was filled with nerves, excitement, and pure energy as we left the grand harbor. That evening, we were caught in a pretty intense storm with winds up to 60 mph and lighting all around. Thanks to our experienced skipper and crew, we safely made it through and are continuing on course.
You can follow our course on the YB Racing App.
