Last weekend we kicked off by attending the Q***r Art Crawl in the 40 West Arts District district.

Annie was honored to have two pieces selected - Prometheus was selected by Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo and her bold piece Violence of Becoming Palatable at 40 West Arts District.

This piece expresses a past that she blends elegantly with her Shamanic Healing work and my SoulSalt coaching.

The piece won the Award for Excellence as it explores the masking for survival as a q***r and autistic person living under the weight of systems that demand conformity.

In this piece Annie has four masks. They surface having been marked with real phrases used to control, program, and erase identity.

Cracked textures and shadowed layers reflect the fracturing caused by this pressure. Illustrating the quiet, ongoing violence of being “acceptable” and the cost of suppressing one’s true self.

Annie and I work with a select number of clients to bring their past into greater clarity, understanding, healed power and fulfillment.
