It's WTF Night tonight! Every Wednesday from 6-8pm we open the Bicycle Collective as a space for the Woman, Trans, and Femme community. This is a safe and inclusive space where you can bring a bike to work on, look at our selection of used parts and refurbished bikes, or just come and ask any questions you have about cycling. For more info on events, check out our website events tab at https://bicyclecollective.org/pages/events or at the link in our bio! Hope to see you here!

This rare Marin Team Titanium mountain bike was recently donated to the shop. Built by Litespeed Titanium in 1989 and designed by National Champion Joe Murray, it’s a neat piece of cycling history. Build highlights include a Koski fork, a custom titanium seatpost and stem, Grafton cranks, a Nukeproof titanium rear hub, an American Classic front hub, and a Chris King headset. Want to see it in person? Come by the Bicycle Collective, or check out more photos on our website at bicyclecollective.org or via the link in our bio.

Such a pleasure to have at Bike Prom this year. Which one of these is your favorite? If you recognize yourself (or someone else), tag away! Next year we are going to have a Hand Drawn Tattoo Booth so these memories can be permanent. Probably maybe not actually. Thank you to Natalie and all the artists!

Big thanks to all of the students, staff, and parents of Westland Elementary for organizing their very own bike drive! Each year they organize a service project, and this year they chose the Bicycle Collective! They put together a bike safety fair for their school, and had families collect and bring in unused bicycles. At the end of their drive they donated about 60 bikes! Thanks again to everyone who helped out and made donations!

Bike Prom 2026 was one for the books! We had such a great turnout this year, with over 500 riders joining us for a great night of riding and partying with the cycling community. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Bicycle Collective!

Meet Greg, one of our dedicated volunteer mechanics. Greg moved to Utah in 2020 and spends most of his time riding bikes, reading, cooking, or traveling with his wife, who he met through mountain biking. He works in IT, but before that he was a bike mechanic in Connecticut, where he grew up.
Greg found the Bicycle Collective a few years back when he stopped in to donate some parts near our old location. He was invited to volunteer and thought, "This is something I can do!"
For Greg, volunteering feels like giving back to his community and investing in it. Plus, he simply likes working on bikes. The best part, he says, is seeing someone get a bike. You can plainly see what it means to them, how it will change their life and unlock opportunities. He also loves mentoring others and explaining tools, bicycle subsystems, and repair techniques. It makes him happy when people show interest in fixing something instead of replacing it.
His favorite impact the Bicycle Collective has on the community is awareness. Getting bikes into the hands that need them is huge, but he believes putting the image in the public's head that bicycles are a viable method of transportation is what will slowly shift the city's culture toward something more bike friendly. That's what he takes the most pride in.
Thanks for everything you do, Greg!
