Contrary to popular belief, millennials are very outgoing, adventurous, receptive, and insightful in our contemporary world.

Angels Landing - Zion National Park offers panoramic views of Zion Valley, and is considered one of the most challenging hikes in Zion National Park. As of April this year, a permit system has implemented to reduce crowding at the coveted peak, so I decided to climb it before then. Going in the late afternoon was rewarding with reduced crowds, lower temperatures, and beautiful sunsets. A must-do hike if you enjoy a challenge, and rise above the valley floor!

Oktoberfest at Snowbird comes once a year in the fall between September and October, with last weekend being the final weekend. Given my Bavarian roots, it was nice to feel at home enjoying great food and beverages. I highly recommend it, especially since with the fall colors!

Death Valley National Park is the hottest, driest, lowest place in the Western Hemisphere, and the largest national park south of Alaska. People often know it for its deep valleys and barren landscape, though not many people venture off the beaten path away from paved roads. Such is the case with Telescope Peak, the highest point in the park standing at 11,049 feet.

From the summit, you are rewarded with panoramic views of Panamint Valley, California, Badwater Basin, Death Valley, the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, and on a clear enough day, you can see White Mountain Peak on the horizon to the north. Crazy to think that 10-15,000 years ago, these valleys used to be filled with water, and a few species of endangered pupfish which used to be very common are still left if youโ€™re patient and look hard enough.

One dream I've always had since childhood was to take a fast sports car onto the German Autobahn, and go very fast. After visiting Zugspitze and Eibsee, Bayern, Germany, in the Alps, the return trip to Munich, Germany gave the perfect opportunity. Using a Jaguar F Type P340 Convertible, it begs you to unleash the beast, and it unleashes you. Less than 20 kilometers outside of the city, a perfectly straight and open part of the Autobahn A95 did just that. Nearly made it to the advertised top speed, but it was all worth it! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ

As an outdoorsman, no visit to Germany is complete without going to Zugspitze. The tram takes you to the summit of the highest point in Germany, with panoramic views of the Alps beside the German and Austrian border. The Eibsee is seen down below on the northern German side, and the many valleys of Austria to the south and southeast. The tram ride up is very steep, as shown in the pictures.

While visiting friends and family over in Germany, hiking The German Alps is always on the to-do list. Most ski areas become great hiking and mountain biking trails in the summertime, and Gasthof Kampenwand Aschau is no exception. Restaurants on the summit make it worthwhile, and gondolas taking you up or down the mountain give you panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Crazy to think that 40 years ago, this was the last place on earth you wanted to be. Glad to have climbed it when it was safe to do so, I need to go back and do it again!

While the current skiing and snowboarding season has ended, it's good to reminisce and look forward to the future.

Snowbird is one of my personal favorites thanks to the abundance of advanced/expert terrain. This season, as well as last year's were ones to remember, given the abundant snowfall as shown here. On clear days like this one, you can see the rest of the Wasatch Mountain Range, as well as the Salt Lake Valley.

Big Sky Resort is a place like no other. It's one of the largest skiing and snowboarding resorts in the country, with nearly 6,000 skiable acres, a 4,350 vertical foot drop, and 38 lifts. Similar to the light, fluffy Powder Skiing found in Utah, the powder is especially fun and easy to push through. Skiing in the northern Rocky Mountains is also especially cold - it was 18 degrees at the base, and 9 degrees on top of the Lone Peak Tram. Layering up, and staying in constant movement is a good way to stay warm!

This January was better known as 'Januburied,' if you were in Utah, Wyoming, or when you Visit Montana. Some resorts like Alta Ski Area and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort got more than 10 feet in this month alone, and Deer Valley Resort did not disappoint. This resort limits the total amount of lift tickets sold each day, to provide the best skiing experience possible. With excellent, friendly service, groomed black diamonds, and good snow coverage, it's the place to be for skiers who look for the most out of their Ikon Pass and winter overall.
