Pajama Week starts Wednesday July 8th!

Get ready for one of our favorite themed weeks of the summer… Pajama Week! 🎉

July 8–14, dancers are invited to come to class wearing their favorite pajamas!

We’ll tiptoe through Dreamland, sneak past sleepy teddy bears, stretch after our “big wake up,” and dance our way through a week full of imagination and ballet fun!

As always, dancers should still be able to move comfortably, so please choose pajamas that are easy to dance in. Bare feet or ballet shoes are perfect for class.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s cozy outfits and make magical memories together!

See you in your PJs!

Proof of why I love what I do.

As the owner of Tutu School, I get to witness brave little moments all the time. But today, I got to experience one as a mom.

Every week in ballet class, when it’s time for my 3 year olds solo, she freezes. She looks at me with fear in her eyes, and if she goes at all, it’s because I walk out beside her while she quietly stands there, unsure. At the end of class, when we hold hands and bow, she almost always lets go or refuses altogether.

So today, I truly didn’t know what to expect.

But with her big sister beside her on stage, something shifted. She danced. She smiled. She held hands for the final bow. And when it was all over, she started jumping up and down with pure joy before running straight into my arms.

I don’t know if she even realizes what a big deal that was, but I sure do.

One of the things that makes Tutu School so special is that we meet children exactly where they are. Every child is different, and confidence doesn’t grow on someone else’s timeline. If a dancer needs their support system in the front row, backstage, or literally standing beside them while they dance…that works for us. We aren’t trying to create perfect performances. We’re helping children build confidence, one brave moment at a time.

I got to watch my daughter take one of those brave steps.

And somehow, I got to experience it through both lenses (as her mom and as the owner of a studio built around these very moments).

My heart is so full. 🤍
