A veces pensamos que competir se trata de ganar… 🥇
Pero después de tantos años trabajando con niños, yo he aprendido que las victorias más importantes no siempre vienen con una medalla. ❤️

Para mí, ganar es ver a un niño con miedo… y aun así salir a luchar.

Es verlo perder, sentir tristeza, quizá llorar… pero aprender a aceptar esa derrota con respeto y regresar a entrenar.

Es verlo ganar y enseñarle que una victoria nunca le da derecho a humillar a su oponente.

Es ver a un niño que no ganó poder abrazar y celebrar a su compañero que sí lo hizo. 🥹❤️

Es verlos cansados en clase y aun así intentarlo una vez más.

Es verlos aprender a escuchar, a ser disciplinados, comprometidos y coacheables.

Porque algún día las medallas van a terminar guardadas en una caja…
pero el carácter que estamos formando en estos niños se irá con ellos para toda la vida. 🥋❤️

Que aprendan a manejar el miedo.
La presión.
La tristeza.
La frustración.
La victoria y también la derrota.

Las medallas son un plus. 🏅

Pero si un niño aprende todo esto gracias a la competencia…

para nosotros, ya es un verdadero campeón. ❤️

No estamos preparando niños solamente para ganar peleas.

Estamos preparando niños para enfrentar la vida. 🥋❤️

🥋 3:30 PM KIDS GI CLASS | AGES 3–8 🥋

Looking for an afternoon activity for your little one? Our 3:30 PM Kids Gi Class meets 4 days a week and is a great option for homeschool families or children who get out of school early! 💙

At our gym, jiu-jitsu is more than learning how to grapple. Jiu-jitsu is our tool to help children become a better version of themselves. ❤️

Is your child having trouble listening or following directions? We can help.
Having trouble socializing or making friends? We can help.
Is your child shy or afraid to speak up? We can help.
Does your child need more confidence, discipline, independence, or emotional control? We can help.

And the best part? They’re working on all of these things while having fun, moving their bodies, making friends, and learning jiu-jitsu! 🥋🙌🏽

We don’t expect little kids to walk through our doors already knowing how to do all these things. That’s what we’re here to teach.

Jiu-Jitsu challenges our kids physically, but it also prepares them for challenges far beyond the mats.

Every time they roll, they’re learning that being uncomfortable doesn’t mean they have to quit. They’re learning to think, control their emotions, trust themselves, and keep going.

We’re not just getting them ready for Jiu-Jitsu.

We’re getting them ready for life. ❤️

🥋 10 AM LITTLE CHAMPIONS | MÁS QUE JIU-JITSU ❤️

Nuestra clase de las 10 AM no se trata solamente de aprender Jiu-Jitsu. A esta edad, hay muchas habilidades importantes que los niños están comenzando a desarrollar.

Aquí trabajamos para enseñarles a:

✨ Usar sus modales: “por favor”, “gracias”, “con permiso”
✨ Ser respetuosos con adultos y otros niños
✨ Aprender a esperar su turno y desarrollar tolerancia
✨ Socializar y trabajar con diferentes compañeros
✨ Respetar el espacio personal de los demás
✨ Aprender a usar su voz y pedir ayuda cuando la necesitan
✨ Trabajar en el control de sus emociones
✨ Mejorar su coordinación, equilibrio y habilidades motoras

Y todo esto mientras se divierten, se mantienen activos y aprenden Jiu-Jitsu y defensa personal. 🥋💪
