In our last video, you saw one of my students hitting balls off a foot spray line. Here’s the simple drill behind it and how to set it up.

Use foot spray to draw a line on the practice turf, then place a ball on it. With an iron, the goal is to strike the line FIRST, then contact the ball and turf on the target side of the line.

The line gives you instant feedback: are you hitting the ball first or catching the ground behind it? Are you missing the line completely?

No need to chop down or try to scoop the ball into the air. Focus on the line first, ball second!

You can practice this line drill at home with no golf ball needed. Practice hitting the line and it will improve your ball striking.
