Day 2: meditation scene…
It’s funny how “easy” this challenge feels so far.
It’s day 2… lol but the daily tasks haven’t felt out of reach. That’s because they’re not.
You get creative. I had a tight window of time for my workout today or it wasn’t going to happen. I legitimately had 45 min. I knew I was also losing day light and had to mark off my “get outside, no screen time.”
So I chose both! And I’m so glad that I did! I got outside and worked out and ended with hitting a 3rd! 5 min of meditation.
People overthink meditation. I used to be “people” lol. Then I heard this statement that truly gave me permission to define meditation my way.
Bring awareness into yourself, your thoughts, your sensations. You can’t mess up meditation, so don’t think you need to be “perfect”. There’s no right “amount” of time. If you start with 1 min and add 1 min etc, soon enough you’ll see 60 min float by without noticing.
The nature elements really allowed me to get to another level today. Texas weather was really showing off with that 65 degree and slightly sunny.
I had such a rush of gratitude, presence and the word “intention” kept popping up for me today.
I’ll share those thoughts another day.
I hope you also give yourself permission to do something “poorly”. Fail, but fail forward, give yourself grace to show up as you are and get better daily.
Show up for yourself daily.
& truly, give a s**t.

Feeling incredibly grateful to start our 75 hard “Give A Sh*t” challenge today with a great bunch of humans.
15 to be exact. ❤️
I’ll be challenging myself along with them for the next 11 weeks.
I read this post and it completely resonated with this challenge.

This isn’t a weight loss challenge, this is a “show up for yourself challenge.”
At this point of the year people truly tend to “not give a s**t”. They give up and wait till January or their birthday or vacation to care.
Don’t wait too long or that’s all you’ll be doing.
So thank you squad, for “giving a s**t”.
Now let’s show up daily & get after it!
In case you’re curious- here are the rules:
NOV. 29th- FEB. 13th
✅ 1.) 2-4 LITERS DAILY WATER DAILY
✅ 2.) NUTRITION PLAN- NO ALCOHOL-LIMIT SUGAR-ONLY 1 PACKAGED ITEM DAILY (EAT REAL FOOD. DON'T NEED TO DO A DIET)
✅ 3.) 45 MIN MOVEMENT DAILY (THIS CAN BE MOBILITY, DANCE, LIFTING, ETC. JUST GET MOVING)
✅ 4.) GET OUTSIDE 10 MIN- NO SCREEN TIME FOR THE 10 MIN
✅ 5.) READ 10 PAGES OR LISTEN TO A PODCAST FOR 10 MIN (SELF DEVELOPMENT FOCUS)
✅ 6.) 5 MIN MEDITATION OR 5 MIN JOURNAL
✅ 7.) 7 HOURS OF SLEEP

We all know the end of the year is the hardest part of the year to keep showing up for yourself.
Meaning- hitting your workouts, caring about your nutrition, staying connected to what’s truly going to keep a foundation of health and self development ongoing.
This is my own version of 75 HARD, I believe it’s adjusted in the way it’s obtainable and setting you up for ongoing success.

Why is it important for YOU to know YOUR heart?…
Because in life you will meet so many situations or persons that try to tell you what your heart looks like, what your plans should be, what your character is…
So many times that you might just believe it.
But then, if you DO believe it, whose life are you living?
So come back in, sit with yourself, let’s find our way back home. What does your heart want?? What does it yearn and beat for?

For the folks that haven’t been feelin’ themselves for a minute…
My heart goes out to you. Right there with you.
But this world is so much better with you in it.
I hope you can find the words to say, I hope someone listens and makes you feel heard and seen.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness, please never hesitate to drop me a message. I don’t care what relationship we have or don’t have, I’ll listen.
Most of the time that’s all anyone is looking for. Someone to ACTUALLY listen. Not to say “the right thing” or “fix anything”.
It’s just being truly present and giving love through listening.
