Last week, I shared a post about resilience — how it shows up quietly, persistently, often in the most unlikely places.
Today, I came across this small cluster of clover in London (yes, I'm in London right now). It was growing in a tight corner, pressed between a brick wall, a post, and the pavement. No soil in sight. No sunlight pouring in. And yet — it’s growing.
This is what resilience often really looks like. Not picture-perfect. Not dramatic. Just life finding a way. Healing in imperfect spaces. Choosing to grow in cramped corners, when the world feels heavy or rigid.
As a therapist, I see this kind of growth in my clients all the time — in subtle shifts, brave decisions, and the quiet refusal to give up. Even when hope is small. Even when the "space" to thrive feels nonexistent.
✨ This is your reminder: You don’t need perfect conditions to begin again. Even here, you can root. You can grow.

Random post for the day:
I went for a walk this morning with the idea of resilience on my mind. It is our capacity to grow, adapt and recover in the face of adversity or stress. It's something that has come up in sessions repeatedly with my clients recently.
I came across this flower and was immediately drawn to how it grew right through the cracks in concrete, under pressure, surrounded by obstacles. And still, it bloomed.
Resilience isn’t about avoiding struggle. It’s about finding the strength to grow in spite of it. It’s the quiet courage to keep reaching for light, even when everything around you feels heavy.
💛 If you're navigating your own “concrete,” know that you're not alone—and there are good things ahead.

My amazing supervisor/old professor has so many beautiful signs on his lawn, but this one is by far my favorite.
Right now, the noise of political chaos is deafening, and sometimes unbearable. It's more important than ever to focus on the here and now. Our mental health thrives when we stay present, one moment at a time—especially when it feels like everything is slipping out of control.
I really needed this sign today. A reminder to ground ourselves in the present, not the past, and not the VERY unpredictable future.

Mind chatter can be so overwhelming, especially when it is negative. Learning to quiet your thoughts through mindfulness and meditation can lead to greater clarity and calm. Listened to the podcast episode called "Befriending your inner voice" about mind chatter and it was so interesting and informative!

Lotus Counseling and Wellness is 1! One year ago, I embarked on this wild journey to create a safe space for healing and growth. It was one of the scariest things I've ever done, but I'm so glad I did it. It's been a year filled with new friendships, connections, resilience and transformation (literally- my office was in shambles before we renovated). I've been so honored and humbled to walk alongside so many amazing clients and to hear their stories. There's so many amazing things on the horizon that I can't wait to share with all of you! Here's to another year of growth! 🎉✨

In the therapy room, turning dark chapters into narratives of growth and self-discovery are one of my favorite things to witness. Every setback paves the way for a stronger comeback. 🌟💚
