Back to school season is here! 🎒📝👟

New shoes. New backpack. New grade.

But before that first bell rings, ask yourself this. How is your child's mindset going into this school year?

Not just their supplies. Their attitude. Their resilience. Their ability to bounce back when something gets tough.

Those things matter more than any pencil in that backpack.

Growth mindset and character building do not happen overnight. They happen in small moments. A challenge they push through. A setback they recover from. A goal they keep working toward.

As you prep for the new school year, remind your child of this: every difficult thing is a chance to grow.

And hey, it is still the weekend. Get outside.
Take a walk. Throw a ball. Ride a bike. Keep them moving. Keep them growing.

Happy 4th of July from Lone Star Kids Run Club!

Keep your kids moving this holiday.

• Run a backyard obstacle course before the fireworks
• Race your family to the mailbox and back
• Walk or bike to the parade instead of driving
• Play tag while the grill is going

Movement is freedom. Let them feel it today.

Growth mindset isn’t taught in a classroom. It’s taught at the kitchen table. In the car line. At bedtime.

Moms plant those seeds first.

This Mother’s Day weekend, we honor every mom raising kind, brave, resilient kids.

Tell us about your mom in the comments. Share one lesson she taught you that you’re still leaning on today.

Try this with your kids this weekend:

Mom’s Top 3. Sit down with your kids and ask them to name three things Mom always says when life gets tough. Write them on a sticky note and put it on the bathroom mirror.
Next time they hit a tough moment, those words are right there waiting.

May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.🏃🏻‍♀️🚴‍♂️🤾🏼‍♂️⛹️‍♂️🏌🏻🏌️‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏇🧗‍♂️🏄‍♀️🚣‍♀️⛸️⛷️

Kids who see their parents move grow up moving and you don’t need a gym.

Pick one thing this weekend. A walk, a bike ride or a backyard race. Do it together.

Small habits build strong kids.💪🏽

Afterschool staff do not get enough credit.
They show up every day, all school year long, for our kids. And this Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week, Lone Star Kids Run Club wanted to show up for them.

We were proud to deliver individual charcuterie boards to each extended day staff member at Adams Elementary, the district afterschool director, and her FES colleague in the district office.
They work behind the scenes all year to make after school programs possible for our children.

A huge shout out to for handcrafting a beautiful individual board for every single person.

If you need stunning charcuterie boards for your next event or appreciation gesture, reach out to her. You will not be disappointed.

The school year is winding down. Before it does, take a moment to thank the afterschool professionals in your life. They pour into your children every single day. That deserves to be recognized.
