The 79th annual Humble Rodeo opened on a somber note as organizers paused the festivities to honor a family whose loss is still deeply felt across the community.

In one of the night’s most emotional moments, Shiloh Wilson’s pony made a final lap around the rodeo arena carrying a riderless saddle. The boy’s boots and spurs hung from the sides, symbolizing a life cut short. 🥲

The saddle, which belonged to Shiloh, was recovered after flood waters receded.
