Pushing Forward: A Texas Sumo Story

When starting a new journey many excuses pop in my brain. Am I good enough? I don’t have the time or the resources. What if I fail? I’ve missed many opportunities because of this. Now on the verge of half way through my life I start anew…. And it all starts with one small step in front of the other.

I guess the more specific question is how do you turn it on?

In my documentary, I'm trying to discover the warrior/competitor mentality. What pushes you forward?!
To all the sports people out there...what pushes you?!!

Has anyone heard the new Sumo Kaboom episode talking with the author Ash Warren?! Its a must! Going to order the book plus its given me some inspiration for my documentary "Pushing Forward"

While working on my Texas sumo documentary. I'm trying to figure out how to represent the inner struggle of my main character. Since it's about the warrior mentality of the sumo wrestler and pushing through their limits. I keep visualizing a styled almost dream like sequence of a match through out the story. Since this is my first doc does anyone else use surrealism in their films or know of directors who do?
