🚨 Want to hit your irons farther without swinging harder?

The secret isn’t more effort—it’s better compression.

Compression happens when you strike the ball first and then the turf, creating a powerful, penetrating ball flight with more consistency and control.

✅ Ball first contact
✅ Forward shaft lean at impact
✅ Weight moving into your lead side
✅ Hands ahead of the clubhead

Most golfers try to help the ball into the air. Great ball strikers do the opposite—they compress it and let the loft do the work.

🎯 Try this:
Place a tee or towel 2–3 inches behind the ball. Your goal is to miss the object and strike the ball first. It’s a simple drill that can transform your contact.

💡 Coaching Tip:
Focus on making a small divot AFTER the ball. If your divot starts behind the ball, your low point needs work.

Master compression and you’ll gain:
⛳ More distance
⛳ Better consistency
⛳ Improved trajectory control
⛳ Cleaner contact

What’s your biggest challenge with your irons—fat shots, thin shots, or inconsistent contact?

One of the biggest distance and consistency killers I see in golfers is a swing that becomes too arm-dominant.

In a recent lesson, we worked on two key issues:

🏌️ Swinging too vertically with the arms
🏌️ Losing posture by standing up through impact

When the arms lift without enough body rotation, the club gets out of position, contact becomes inconsistent, and power is left on the table.

By improving the player’s turn and maintaining posture throughout the swing, we created a more efficient motion that allows the body and arms to work together for better contact, more speed, and greater consistency.

Remember: your arms don’t create the golf swing—they respond to what your body is doing.

Strong, stable, and balanced on one leg = a better golfer. ⛳

Your ability to control your body on one leg impacts everything in your swing—from power and rotation to consistency and injury resistance.

Single leg stability training helps you:

✅ Build a stronger foundation
✅ Improve balance and control
✅ Increase power and efficiency
✅ Reduce injury risk
✅ Perform better on the course

A stable lower body leads to a more efficient swing and better ball striking.

🎯 Try this: Add 2–3 single leg exercises to your weekly routine. Focus on control, not just strength.

👇 Great single leg exercises to include:

• Bulgarian Split Squats
• Single Leg RDLs
• Step Ups
• Single Leg Balance Holds
• Single Leg Deadlifts

💡 Coaching Tip: Quality over quantity. Slow it down, stay balanced, and control every rep.

🏌️‍♂️ Feeling tight during your swing?

One of the biggest mistakes golfers make is only working on their swing and ignoring recovery.

Foam rolling can help:
✅ Reduce muscle tightness
✅ Improve mobility and rotation
✅ Increase recovery between rounds
✅ Help your body move more efficiently

You don’t need an hour in the gym. Just 5-10 minutes of focused recovery work can help you move better, feel better, and play better.

If your hips, back, or shoulders feel stiff during your swing, add foam rolling into your weekly routine and watch the difference it makes.

💬 Which area gets tightest after a round of golf: hips, lower back, shoulders, or legs?

🚨 Losing distance without realizing it? Your ball position might be the reason.

Many golfers spend hours trying to swing faster, but if the ball is in the wrong position, you’re making solid distance almost impossible.

✅ Too far back = low, weak shots
✅ Too far forward = poor contact and loss of compression
✅ Correct ball position = better strike, more speed, more distance

A simple setup adjustment can help you hit the center of the face more often and unlock yards you already have in your swing.

Before your next practice session, check your ball position and see how much better your contact becomes.

⛳️ Slicing the ball? 🏌️

You’re probably trying too hard to swing from the inside.

Instead, try this simple feel:

👉 Keep your back to the target and let the arms work down before rotating.

Most golfers who slice pull the handle, throw the club over the top, and leave the face open. By feeling your club move down, you can create better sequencing, improve your path, and deliver the club more efficiently.

The result?

✅ Less slice
✅ More solid contact
✅ More distance
✅ Straighter drives

Remember, golf is often about the right feel—not the perfect swing thought.

Give this feel a try on the range and let me know what happens.

💥 Want more distance?

Most golfers immediately think about swing changes.

The truth?

Your ability to produce force into the ground plays a massive role in how much speed you can create.

One of my favorite ways to develop explosive power is through the French Contrast Method.

This training method combines:
🏋️ Heavy strength work
⚡ Plyometric exercises
🚀 Explosive movements
🎯 Speed-focused exercises

The goal is simple: teach your body to produce force faster.

More force.
More speed.
More distance.

Remember, the longest hitters aren’t just swinging harder—they’re producing power more efficiently.

Train like an athlete.
Swing like an athlete.

🚀 Driver therapy is a lot cheaper than actual therapy…

There’s just something satisfying about stepping up to the tee, making a full swing, and watching one absolutely fly. 💣

Of course, some drives find the fairway…

Some find the next zip code.

But that’s part of the fun. 😅

Today’s goal:
✅ Swing freely
✅ Commit to the shot
✅ Trust the process

Because confidence swings travel a lot farther than steering swings.

Now be honest…

What’s the longest drive you’ve ever hit? ⬇️

🎯 Struggling with inconsistent ball striking?

Most golfers think they have a swing problem when they actually have a contact problem.

One of my favorite drills for improving strike consistency is the Tee Gate Drill.

Place two tees just wider than your clubhead and make swings without touching either tee. This gives instant feedback on low point control, club path, and centered contact.

✅ Better strike
✅ Improved consistency
✅ More predictable ball flight

The goal isn’t a perfect swing.

The goal is predictable contact.

Give this drill a try during your next practice session and let me know how it goes.

Save this post for your next range session and share it with a golfer who needs to strike the ball more consistently.

Most golfers spend thousands on clubs but never check one of the most important things…

Their lie angles.

Recently, I worked with a player who was struggling with inconsistent contact and shots that continually started left of his target.

He’d been told a year ago that his clubs should be 1° flat, so that’s what he believed he was playing.

When we actually measured them, we discovered something surprising…

His irons were 4° upright.

That’s a 5° difference from what he thought he had.

No wonder he was fighting the golf club.

After adjusting the lie angles, his strike improved, his start lines became more predictable, and suddenly the golf swing felt much easier.

The lesson?

Don’t assume your clubs are what the sticker says.

Lofts and lies can change over time through use, travel, and adjustments.

If you haven’t had your clubs checked recently, it might be costing you more shots than your swing.

Have you ever had your clubs checked for loft and lie? Let me know below ⬇️
