Texas law differentiates between handguns and long guns (rifles and shotguns). For handguns, a holster is mandated, but no specific type is required. Long guns are less regulated, but certain individuals are barred from owning any firearm.
The law also specifies areas where carrying fi****ms is prohibited, such as schools, bars, and voting stations.
