San Antonio and Roadrunner hockey fans, we’re looking for 2026-2027 volunteers !

Have you have ever wanted to work within the game of hockey, learn more about the game, or be a part of something special with your home town Roadrunner hockey team? Consider volunteering with the team! We are officially accepting applications TODAY!

Positions are as follows: Dj/PA, broadcast, game day operations, and equipment manager.
We do encourage general sign ups as the position tab is not required in the application.

Pinkerman, a Frisco, Texas native, most recently spent time with the Norwich Sea Captains recording 19 points in 36 games. Pinkerman looks forward to advancing his education and brings his all around aggressive offensive style to the 2026-2027 roster. We look forward to seeing his progress through the season!

Danh most recently spent time with the Oklahoma City Oil Kings and joins former teammates Justin Trevino, Evan Granier, Travis Sorce, and Jonathan Blum on this seasons roster. UTSA Men’s Hockey is proud to announce former professional hockey player James Hiebert as the program’s new head coach, ushering in a new era for Roadrunner hockey both on and off the ice. Bringing years of high-level playing experience and leadership from multiple North American professional leagues, including time spent in the CHL, ECHL, and AHL, Coach Hiebert has earned a reputation as a tough, dependable leader with a strong passion for player development and growing the game of hockey.

During his professional career, Hiebert spent six seasons with the Laredo Bucks, helping grow the game in South Texas while inspiring a new generation of hockey players in a non-traditional hockey market. His commitment to community involvement, professionalism, and leadership has earned respect both on and off the ice throughout the hockey world and the South Texas community.

Coach Hiebert now brings that same passion, accountability, and competitive mindset to the Roadrunners as UTSA Hockey prepares for its upcoming season in the Texas College Hockey Conference. The future is bright for Roadrunner Hockey, and we are excited to welcome Coach Hiebert and his family to the UTSA Hockey family. 🏒🔥

Congratulations to our graduating seniors of the 25-26 season , Joshua LeComte, Jonathan Blum , and Noah Dow!

To put things simplest , this organization, this team, and this family could not and would not exist without these three men. Blum, LeComte, and Dow worked together tirelessly over the past three years to lay the blueprint and foundation to Roadrunner hockey. Together they took this team from a B level men’s league team and transformed us into a team worthy of being accepted into the TCHC at the ACHA D2 level. As a student ran non profit organization, these three men took on the responsibilities of scheduling ice times, games, practices , events , coordinating travel , recruitment and much more.

With much gratitude , respect , and appreciation we wish Blum , LeComte , and Dow the best in their future endeavors as well as watch as these three men spread their wings and leave the house they built with the newest flock of Runners joining for the 2026/2027 season. We thank you for all your time, dedication , and efforts; it never went unnoticed and we aspire to continue to build what you three laid ground for .
