Texas Velocity 12U

The Veloboyz are out there grinding in Atlanta. They went 3-1-1 in pool play earning the 27th seed in the top bracket. Game 1 of bracket they face the #6 team in the nation. 10am eastern time, follow on gamechanger as your 24th ranked goes out there and takes on some of the best in the nation.

These boys went out there and competed their butts off in Las Vegas last weekend. Going 3-2 for the weekend earning the 6 seed making the bracket. In a back and forth game they ended up losing to the number 10 team in the nation in the final inning. They battled all weekend but the most important thing was they grew as young men and ball players! Running the national circuit is fun but at the end of the day it’s about player development and experiences that will continue to drive us. Congrats to the athletes that made the watchlist for the tournament.
Also a huge shout out and thanks to Bearded Barber Co for hooking our athletes up with their military themed jerseys. They look clean out there on the ball field.

LFG!!!!! These young men have been out here in Baton Rouge battling it out. Going 4-0 in pool play and taking care of business in the first bracket game. We are in the elite 8 and facing the 2nd ranked team in the nation. It’s going to be a great test for our boys. They are locked in and ready to go compete. Congrats to our athletes that earned all tournament honors at the Willpower tournament last weekend. It was a fun weekend watching the dudes go to work and do wht they love.

Where to start with this amazing group of young men. Going and competing at the worlds largest youth tournament and against the nations best. 80 teams in the 12U majors division and on top 32 made brackets. Top 16 in the gold and the next 16 in the silver. Seeding 21st on the weekend and battling 2 great ball clubs from north Texas in the first two rounds of bracket. Sunday night we faced north Texas aces and it was a rematch from last years event. They got the best of us last year but this year was our turn winning 7-5 in a great game. Monday morning we started bright and early at 9am against the Dulins Dodgers Prime also winning that game 7-5 in a come back win after falling behind 4-0. In the semi finals we faced the number 10 team in the nation Seattle Select. For the first 2 innings it was a dog fight but after that we made a few crucial mistakes and they took advantage of it. Overall a great weekend and learning experience from this group that went into this tournament with only 11 players with 9 of them from San Antonio. We are putting SA baseball back on the map and developing these young athletes in fine ball players but most importantly good young men. Now time to get back to the grind and get ready for Louisiana in a couple of weeks.

Congrats to our hardworking athletes and coaches from our 12U Gold team. They have been putting in the work and it’s showing, this spring is going to be a fun one. Team is locked in doing winter workouts getting ready for the season to begin. Good job boys, the grind doesn’t stop!

Congrats to our 12U athletes that made the all tournament team this weekend. They went out there and showed out. Great way to end the fall season. Now time to go get ready for the spring.

What a way to go out for fall of 2024, both teams went out there and competed well this weekend. Though coming up short in all 3 games out 12U black team faced good competition and didn’t lay down flat on any of them. The growth of the season was good to see and to see them compete against majors team. Keep grinding boys!!!

Now on the 12U gold team, creating a big target on their back after winning the central Texas fall state championships a couple of weeks ago. They responded how our coach wanted them too. These guys have gone out there and put countless hours of work outside of team practices and trusted the process within our organization to develop. It is truly fun watching this team play. From first pitch to the last out they are locked in and ready to compete. Outscoring their opponents 64-15, they were all gas no brakes this past weekend. With that they won the Deep South Super NIT. 3 of 4 tournament championships this fall only falling short in the quarterfinals of the mid season 13U tournament. They finished with a 27-3-1 fall record beating some great teams along the way. Now it’s time to get winter training going in and get ready for a full spring.
